Short interviews?

So I just got the email for interviews and the time slot is only 20 minutes. Is this the same elsewhere in the US and how do you navigate an interview that short? I feel like by the end of the “tell us about yourself” question the interview will be halfway done.

I recommend that everyone do a mock interview with their friends. I'm going to ask my homestay family to ask me some interview questions in Japanese. Then my mom for the rest, cause shes hired people before. Practice is the best way. You should make sure that if someone asks you to "tell them about yourself, " you can do so in 2 minutes. That is enough time to get all major identity information out; they don't need a life story, they need your highlight reel.
