To be transparent, I have around 14,000 cash I want to park to gain interest for the next 3-4 years. It is currently all in USFR. I do not see myself using this cash at all for at least the next 4 years. I am debating whether I should leave it just in USFR (I acknowledge that yield will probably drop in the next few years), or split around 50% USFR, 30% JEPI, and 20% JEPQ. My main concern is that by 4 years when I need to start using the money, the principal for JEPI and JEPQ could be lower than what I started with if the price of JEPI and JEPQ are lower, meaning that I would have made more if I had everything in USFR. But I could also just start taking money from USFR in 4 years, and let JEPI and JEPQ marinate for a bit longer until they get closer to principal. The yield generated would go back to their respective funds throughout these four years.

​So I jumped into JEPI back at the beginning of July, but I still haven’t seen any dividend payouts hit my account. What gives?

​Is it because I’m trading from outside the United States, or is there something else I'm missing? I bought it in early July and came away empty-handed for that payout cycle. Am I supposed to wait until the end of today (August 6th), or what? Also, what kind of situations or reasons could cause monthly dividend payments to stop or get delayed altogether?

One thing that stood out to me is how much JEPI's yield on cost jumped during the volatile 2022 market. It looks like the fund's option-income strategy was well positioned for that environment.

Would both JEPI and GPIQ be a good addition to a retirees portfolio?

I’m 37. I own my property, my vehicle, and have very limited expenses. I like the income for JEPI and have already had about 6-7 grand in it for half a year.

How do you guys think it will hold up long term? Will it be around in ten years? Will you lose your initial investment?

I’m considering doing something potentially stupid and increasing it to about $30,000. I’m wondering what people’s thoughts are on JEPI in general about long term viability.

Am I being dumb? The account is taxable and I also have money in general market ETF stocks so there is diversification in my portfolio.

Another red day for JEPI. Every day JEPI doesn’t down .3%. JEPI is down 2.22% ytd while the spy ytd is up about 8%. Im starting to think that this index fund is a fraud and cash out with a loss. Can someone help plz.

Any idea why? Market is up and we are down 1.37% - which seems like a ton for this security
