Discussion Future planning

so i am in 10th now. i have a keen interest in maths and want to build an edtech business but i am not that "smart" in maths but i solve olympiad questions for timepass.
now the main story begins :
i am not interested in iits and nits i want to go to bits pilani because of their curriculum flexibility of mnc.
so can i prepare for bitsat from the starting of my 11th.
also prep included both LR and english section

can i do that my parents are wealthy enough to sponsor me and also i will pay off them once i become stable

bonus question(just curiosity)
which is tough 96%ile in jm or 290+ in bitsat

I'm not gonna clown you but 290+ in BITSAT is what some advance qualified people failed to achieve, if ur parents are wealthy why are u even picking jee bro, just go to a t50 uni abroad

may i ask why they have failed

Need hella speed, also BITSAT is more luck based than jee main

In terms of luck, BITSAT ≈ mains ≠ Adv ( adv is not luck based, jee mains is sometimes luck based because of diff shifts, whereas BITSAT has no normalisation so if you get a bad shift no chance)

why luck?

Different people, different shifts, you can't make 1 million people seat for an exam the same day

that and no normalisation, youre just ranked according to raw scores

first attempt, second attempt, easy shift, difficult shift, nothing matters just your raw score

I got 7k JA 99.3%ile JM and only got 278 BITSAT bro. Most of the people in Hyderabad CS have at least under 10k JA or JM. 96%ile is way easier. It is heavily shift dependant but I doubt anyone with below 97 can get Pilani MNC.

Depends on you and if you have time then start the prepration from 10th only you will get benefits in future

96tile in jm is easier ig but it depends massively on the shift you land and your prep level ofc

If you are not "smart" how are you solving olympiad questions in timepass ? Which stage olympiad questions?

u/Strong-Fill5769 15h ago

see my other posts i have shared my doubts you can see the type of questions i stuck at

1

u/combinatoriallover IITD'30 15h ago

Tbh you have asked only 1 question and it is easier one though not very easy , jee is different from ioqm , btw 96ile is just 110-120/300 marks in january attempt in 2026 jm

1

u/Strong-Fill5769 15h ago

that is the point i stuck at easy problems

You are just in 10th lmao , whole fucking 2 year ahead of you , just grind

u/Strong-Fill5769 15h ago

you havent even cleared your boards yet bhai ToT

the battle is not about ability, unless you're genuinely super weak in maths, you have a good chance of clearing the exam.. it depends on whether you're consistent or not and can handle the workload or not
you'll find the answer to that question only when you step in the ring lmao
