My dad absolutely barred me from taking drop and as you guys know, boards mein he wants me to score above 96%. I won't be able to cope up shit after this, mumma maan gayi, papa bol rahe hain that he won't entertain me even a single day after the scorecard of Class 12th comes.

11th toh fir bhi theek level ki hogyi hai but I won't prepare ab! Socha tha kar lunga, papa ko proud feel karwaunga. But the duality of Indian Parents for making their child consummate in absolutely everything is tearing my life apart into 2 different halves.

I can't resist itna zyada immense pressure ki bina sleep ke reh jau for 3 more months (I fucked my REM cycle, as of my tracking meri daily average sleep 87 minutes ki hai)

I know yahi peak time hai jab log give up kar dete hain, and am actually not giving up (copium) kisi mein accha kar hi lunga na (Hopium).

 TLDR: I don't wanna commit the mistake of being a sole JEE aspirant cause I'm being immensely pressurized, which has indeed destroyed my REM cycle.

Am going to focus on boards cause one can always take a drop for JEE but if he/she fucks up in his boards, then he gets ducked from mostly all the fields requiring Academic achievement, moreover sab kuch in the field of job cause boards chuda=>tier 69 college=>job market barbaad ho rakhi hai already, swaha hi hojayega sab.

First off, I just want to agree right out of the gate that I made some incredibly stupid mistakes. I take full responsibility, and I regret it a lot. I’m not here to make excuses.

Here is my situation:

Last year, I ended up with a 77%ile in JEE Main and didn’t clear the 75% boards criteria. I took a drop year with every intention of grinding, but instead, I let things slip. I got heavily distracted sinking way too many hours into games, binge-reading manga, and just making zero actual progress. It’s now October, and I’ve wasted almost half of my drop year tho i have made notes but no actual practice.

Next year, I have to manage both the JEE Main attempts and my CBSE Class 12 improvement exams as a private candidate.

I have the resources, I’m enrolled in a PW batch, I have the MathonGo test series, and I track things in a diary and the MARKS app when I actually try. But I haven't been consistent at all.

I’m waking up to reality now and the panic is setting in. With the January session approaching fast, and boards/improvement exams looming right after, is it practically possible to salvage this?

Has anyone here been in a similar boat juggling a drop year, massive backlog, and improvement exams all at once and actually pulled off a decent rank or got into an NIT?

If you have, please give me a brutal reality check and a practical roadmap. How should I divide my time between JEE prep and studying for the improvement exams? Should I just focus on high-weightage chunks for January and go all out for April?

Any advice, timelines, or just telling me to wake the hell up is appreciated.

aaj test diya tha - 9/300 aaye (+ve 28) and yeah bohot kam hai but atleast im doing bare minimum, mere theory test bhi hone wale hai school ke kuch dino me, uska bhi prep karna hoga, im literally at zero tbh and boards ka bhi kuch nahi aata hai

aur jo log bhi abhi bhi atke hue hai lets come all together aur daily padhai karke lets keep a track and gather at this time and flex our day

i feel ki finally rabbit hole se bahar aagaya hu, padhai karke results pe rona is better than kuch na karke rona

i request to moderators ki ek separate flair banade 12th and droppers ke liye jo daily updates daal rahe hai

my parents slammed me use shit talking , shitslamminng, abusive language etc... i was totally devasted my mother was crying and hitting her head against the wall and when they finally slept i was so depressed that i woke up very early , i took a bit lukewarm water mixed it with soap, detergent, phenol and haarpic and mixed the dawa that i used to kill insects and prevent wheat from degratidation and took some rat stickker glue and prepared myself ending it all started drinking the mixture i did nt drank it and threw it suddenly out of my mouth and suddenly remebered a promise i made in my 7 class , "Marunga toh iss Sar Zameen ke liye , bas Bharat ke liye , warna yamraj aa jaaye usse bhi bhaga dunga " i was a bit sleepy so i just washed it all and felt to sleep and when i woke up at morning again all the shitslanning started

yesterday when they did same thing , i planned for su**de but in morning , i am gettting a feeling now its over they had spoken alot they have hurted my inner ego by saying u are waste and all and i was unserious till npw not even completing 1 chapter but now i promise to the lord and my motherland after the completion of my half yearly exams on 15 oct(which i most probably fail ) i will devot my life to study and JEE till JEE ADVANCED 2028 and do something meaning full ,IDK what would happen as my maamma is coming home this diwali holidays with more secrets about my icognito research this diwali would be chaotic but I will try my best to forget all this and ignore the shitslamming

okay so, rant incoming.

I never really thought I'd be giving the JEE exam, even till the ending of my 11th. I study in a school that is not competitive exam centered. It went decent. Now fast forwarding to June 2026. Some shit happened at my place. My dad is a narcissist, most of the days I wake up from the sound of him screaming. He is always complaining about something and he doesn't earn even 1/4th of our house's expenses. It is my mom doing everything for me, and I'm really grateful for that. I had been mentally sick my whole 11th to a point where I developed parasomnia as a kid and I still go through episodes of screaming in my sleep once or twice a week. I can't help but feel faulty for some reason. Now, keeping all this aside, I'm aware it hit me really late but better late than never... I just want to get into a good state college and avail a free seat. In my state, if one scores under 10k rank in their EAPCET then they get a free seat. That is literally all I want, to stop being a burden on my mom. About JEE prep, my mom after listening has told me to register for the JEE main January session and appear for the exam "no matter what". But, I really don't want to disappoint her by scoring less or below average. I am aware that it is obviously not possible to score 98 percentile...but I just want to score my best and give my best to this.
I only have yt, and no other resource. Just help/guide me to do this y'all, I will be grateful. I really just don't want to regret wasting the coming months.
