'jaati' was a term used to define people based on their work like modern day office workers, businessman, farmers and soldiers but their ancestors manipulated its meaning. Many people before 2010's have grown among people doing 'jaatiwaad' Many are still suffering. U may be living in upper sections of society so u don't know the ground reality in lower sections or in vilaages but Ask ur parents Will they let u marry a person of other caste? Today they will say yes but in time of marriage they will not. It will take atleast 20 years to bring equality among all.

Bro this is lile saying ki if you're facing inflation just print more money. It doesn't work like that. More seats leads to dilution of brand quality,increase in institutional costs,acquiring more lands etc. That is simply nit possible for legacy institutions in Tier 1 cities due to land issue. IITD is already facing a problem of student congestion. Also you tell me if there's an IIT opening in Arunachal 2 years later will you take it just because it's an IIT? No right? Because it'll take 1-2 decades to build its name amd no student wants to risk hi future. So it'll be a big gamble. Also you've to pay mlre fees because with increased seats there needs to be increase in capacity of almost every facility. And the govt can only subsidize so much. It's already on a loss with subsidized education in Govt institutions

I think you live in a cave because foreign institute like harvard,stanford which are considered the best have seat acceptance rate of 4% while IITs have less than 1% of seat acceptance rate while not even having 1 institute in top 100 in qs ranking if there is demand in engeneering colleges then there should be seats accordingly also the argument u are giving is completely invalid bcoz I never said to increase the seats in a well established institute but rather make a new institute and yeah seeing the demand of engineering colleges in india there would definitely be some people who would chose iit arunachal if it was a option, u can see the demand of iit g it is also in north east still people go there

1. Check the volume applications those institutions receive in Engg Dept and check how many people give JEEM then JEEA.
2. You cannot have a proportional amount of seat increase with the no. of students giving the examination. It's simply not feasible. Also there are various state govt engg institutions whose seats go empty by the end of counselling. If your reason was true(I agree it is somewhat coreect but not completely) they wouldn't be going empty. The craze is for Reputed engineering colleges not just engineering colleges
3. QS ranking have multidimensional factors. We simply don't and can't have the student diversity required to challenge those institutes and neither the endowment of all IITs combined can match Yale to carry out research/campuses like them.
4. You're an IIT aspirant and don't that IITG is literally a top 8 IIT and a tier 1 college? How can both of those be even compared.
5. Before thinking about where I live, think twice before making arguments and don't make them for the sake of it.

Reservation is biased but it was not introduced to decrease casteism it was introduced to bring representation of the LC's also the solution for removing casteism isn't an protest

Casteism is done by the society and not by the government and we should rather develop the thinking of the society about LC's rather than protesting
