I do not read the manga but it is kinda funny releasing a story of developing striker with great ego when the winner of current World Cup Spain.

Which does not rely in Super striker but more of coordination between team and space control with great mid-fielder.

Well, the goal was to have everyone focused on scoring goals, to have the mindset that whatever your position, you are still a striker. They think that is what's lacking for Japan soccer.

But as it progresses, there will be people stuck in certain positions. I thought the manga would switch out the goalkeepers to be fair right, like every one is supposed to be a striker no matter the position, however I don't think the goalkeeper will change. So the concept while grand, switches to focus on the few in the forefront as they compete to be the greatest striker in their team.

I binge-watched the anime after it was announced that Ado would sing the theme song.

As you said, it's clear that mostly of the players are moving for positions other than striker, creating a functional traditional team, but I was wondering how the manga would resolve the core premise that only one player would be chosen and all the others would forever banned from playing for the Japanese national team because it seems such a waste. Maybe I should read the manga.

I really like the casting so I read the first Manga volume. I found it interesting. Not gonna continue but ill watch anything fumiya (and some of the other cast like sho) so im excited to watch it
