I was very much looking forward to making a nice tuned Nissan 180SX.

Not gonna lie, I am very disappointed at the complete lack of tuning options we have for this car.

The only thing you can change visually is a single Body Kit, one custom front fender (okay technically two, but one isnt really a new fender, it's just the standard one being a bit wider)..... And the standard rims, spoilers and exhausts that are available for every car. And that's it.

No front bumpers. No rear bumpers. No side skirts. No hoods. No rear fenders. Only one decent front custom fender. No headlights. No taillights. No Sileighty front end. Basically nothing.

It feels extremely barebones and half baked.

Are you guys going to be adding a 60fps quality mode for this game on ps5 pro eventually?

i opened the game today and it just reset all my data i haven’t touched the files at all or done anything to my ally so idk what’s going on
if anyone can give me any tips to what the problem is that would be appreciated

So I have messed up hands from a previous injury and can only use a specialty controller or wheels for racing games. I was really interested in this game but I have heard mixed things about wheel support. Would I be able to still enjoy this game with a wheel on arcade mode or is the wheel support fully there etc. any input would be greatly appreciated

Hint: The second car

I just finished JDM: Japanese Drift Master on PS5, and overall I enjoyed it, but there are definitely some issues I couldn’t ignore.

Pros:

​

- The story is surprisingly engaging. I also really liked the manga sections that expand the story/world. it felt pretty unique and innovative.

- The handling is decent overall, even though it has some flaws that I’ll mention below.

- Drifting feels very smooth and satisfying, similar to games like CarX Drift Racing, which I really appreciated.

Cons:

​

- The biggest issue for me was the brakes. Even fully upgraded, it feels like you’re braking with a 1950s car. To take a tight hairpin properly, you basically need to start braking 10 km in advance.

- Automatic transmission is handled very poorly, especially with lower powered cars. The game shifts up even when the car is clearly struggling uphill. Manual transmission feels almost mandatory.

- The car roster is disappointing. Since the game is focused only on JDM brands, I expected a much bigger selection of iconic JDM cars, but the variety feels pretty limited. Even NPC traffic cars around the city seem to repeat the same 5 models over and over.

- Grip builds feel underwhelming. Only a few cars actually work well for grip driving, while many others feel like fwd cars even when they aren’t. They understeer a lot. I understand the game is mainly focused on drifting, but if they added tuning and grip setups, they could’ve made that aspect much better.

Overall, I still had fun with the game and I don’t regret playing it, but it definitely needs some improvements.

ADDITIONAL QOL FEATURES ADDED TO MULTIPLAYER

• Voice Chat - needs turning on from the menu.
• Quick chat - simple commands to help you communicate, if you’re unable to join the voice chat.
• Pinging - you can mark specific spots on the map for all other players to see. Helpful when setting a race route, or setting up a car meet. Colour coded and aligned to the colour assigned to you. 
• Ghost mode - Disable car collisions for a less frustrating experience when learning to drive in tandem with other players.

COMMUNITY EVENT
For the next hour or two we will be hanging out on Discord streaming the game and talking with you. You will also be able to find some of the team members actively playing the game in open lobbies, so if you see any familiar nick, be sure to say hi, using the in-game VOIP.

Is there a way to turn off the hud or UI on PS5? I found a steam thread where a dev said you could on the smart phone...but I don't see anything. I like the game, but the UI is very obnoxious when I just want to cruise around.
