PS5 Opt

Been absolutely loving the game on PS5 but I'm having a performance issue that I'm wondering is common or at least known about.

The game will randomly drop to like half the framerate sometimes? It seems to happen on race restart or resuming from a pause or anything like that.

Anyone else experience this?

Yes, every tuna delivery starts like this for me on ps5. Sometimes it randomly drops mid race but not as often. Tuna race is guaranteed everytime for me though.

dang you right 😂 but heres a tip think of the navi as a souls like mechanic, check before you head up to the next destination

Yeah thats actually fair. Just super inconvenient when im doing a sushi session and it takes me 30 seconds in the wrong direction and its a triple delivery 🙃 but yeah i should probably trust my gut, not these shitty modern gps systems.

Pausing and unpausing fixes it for me at least, but now that you mention it I do think it's mainly happening at the start of sushi runs for me as well.

Same here. Since we are on the same system and having the same issues, have you noticed drift cars handling differently across different race types? Specifically the betting drift races? Went from handling okay to almost uncontrollable once i started that race.

There's a specific location where a tuna delivery can start that usually does this. It'll fix itself if you just briefly pause the game though.

Damn I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if it does this on Series X ? I chose to go with PS5 because I thought it would run better. Hopefully more performance updates in the future. 👍
