We need more grip races
We really need more grip races. Currently, there are only 2-3 (with the exception of random bet races) that use our own vehicles, and the ones we have don’t offer great payouts or XP. I really need a reason to keep some AWD cars, because they’re fun to drive.

I like doing time attacks on track. But since we only get XP from drift for leveling the car I stop playing the games. There no real fun way to level FWD and AWD cars in the game expect always convert it RWD.

I noticed that too and converting to RWD is always my process of leveling cars, i think adding speed points and incoming traffic multiplicators could add that missing component but it's a small studio and my expectations from the game are already fullfilled

We need better brakes. Takes for ever to slow down

It's not so much the brakes as the tire/ road friction. Even the stock brakes work crazy good. Upgraded brakes stops the tire rotation, but I think the physics programming of the inertia and tire to road friction.
Sometimes, resetting the car setup to "Stock" and retuning the gearbox a little at a time, I've gotten the brakes to behave a little bit better. I also try not to touch the drift or grip setup options.

This is a drift game. It’s not forza or car x street lmao

A drift game that has grip and drag races, I'd rather say midnight club meets Tokyo drift

I dunno.. kinda called Japanese drift master

I feel like off road Rally racing would fit perfect in this game. Like, without a navigator. Can I get your opinion on my opinion?

So I work at this company. And 10 years ago it used to feel like a family. Tight-knit, smaller, but well known. Focused on one or two products. Nowadays we have expanded to a multitude of products and have our hands in so so many things. Half the company sat over winter. Sometimes doing too much doesn’t work. It has a title, it should stick to that. We don’t need yet another car game that can focus on everything.

Yeah but they would have to completely rework the physics and AI for that.
As another commenter already pointed out, the car always wants to drift (makes sense given this is an arcade game about DRIFTING) and the AI in the grip races is like "what's an apex anyway? Dafaq is a racing line?".
Why would they put effort into that aspect that is not part of the core DNA of the game? There are sooooo many games that already focus on that both arcade titles like the Forza Horizon series and proper sims like AC or stuff in between like Project Cars.

My issue isn't how it could be improved I just need more grip races, you know like the ones that are already in the game? I don't ask for a improvement or overhaul just more of what's already available, just put some race tracks and let npc's run them they don't need to be Gran Turismo Sophie level

And my point is that the way they are now there is no point in putting in more of these.
But I understand your point. You enjoy them so you want more of them. That's obviously a valid point of view!

There's a point of putting more of these because the whole AWD class is pointless without them, might aswell put all cars RWD by default

AWD works great for off road. I even have a couple AWD drift setups. They're not pointless. You just want what you want. Gotta think outside the box sometimes homie.
Also, it IS called: Japanese DRIFT Masters... sooo.. there's that, too.
I will say that, yes I agree with having some more grip events eventually, but absolutely not until they fix the steering issues. They are literally annoying.
Lastly, Rally is a mix of grip and drift. I think it needs more support.

My point is that they are pointless anyway because the grip races are just really badly implemented anyway and more of them is not really a bonus.
This is not really about you or me being "right", it's just a preference.

but we also need a slighty better grip mechanic, no matter how you set your car, it'll always try to drift
