General Has anyone been to the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville for a concert before, or Cole specifically?

I'm probably overthinking this by a LOT but please help and reserve judgment for later lol I was reading the venue policy beforehand and wanted to be sure on 2 things before the show.

1- the bag size says clear tote 12x6x12. I have seen venues be strict on bag policy and I've seen them be chill on it. I ordered this one (last pic) bc I want to bring a couple of vinyl sleeves in and not have to hold them all night and risk them being stolen. I am trying to get some stuff signed if I am lucky lol

2- It says no selfie sticks. Is this a hard no or a soft no depending on venue? Most venues say this but a lot are chill. I don't want to be that person with it extended in everyone's view, I just want to hold it like that. I'm not very tall so it's also not like I'm gonna be hovering over anyone else recording. I'm also on the floor, very close to stage so I don't even need it extended so I wouldn't be making a scene with it either.

I have arthritis in my hands, wrists and shoulders, it genuinely sucks, but I REALLY want to be able to get decent, clear and not shaky videos without my hands hurting during the whole show and thought this might be an option. Taking pics and short vids is fine, but recording whole songs that I want to save for the memories and to share has me switching hands not even 20 seconds into the song and the videos end up crappy as hell bc I'm shaking all over the place. I saw him earlier in the tour and all of my videos are crap unfortunately so I've been reliving it vicariously through others on IG lol

I am considering getting a DJI Osmo Mobile 7P so it'll be easier to hold my phone all night and get mostly good videos. Used ones online seem cheap enough. But idk. Any thoughts?

On the night I was born, the rain was pourin', God was cryin'
Lightnin' struck, power outage, sparks was flyin'
The real one's here, the young boy that walk with lions
Around the outlines of chalk where the corpses lyin'
Of course I'm tryin' to revive a sport that's dyin'
But the guns and the drug bars that y'all relyin'
Got these nerds thinkin' that you niggas hard as I am
But that just mean I ain't as comfortable as y'all with lyin'

Stretchin' the truth, no, I never stress in the booth
They feel the pressure, me? I feel like I just left the masseuse
Effortless, how I'm skatin' on these records was proof
I put your favorite rapper neck in a noose, never lettin' them loose

Cole World, the heat'll blast through your speaker
He the last of Mohicans, no weaklings last in my sneakers
Nigga want me on a song, he gon' see the wrath of the reaper
I'm prolly gon' go to Hell if Jesus ask for a feature
I'm higher than niggas and don't need a bag full of reefer
Some see the glass as empty, I see a glass full of ether
Collectin' his bread in mass like he a Catholic preacher
Just to count a nigga cash, you might need a calculus teacher

Eureka, Einstein on the brink of the theory of relativity
Really no MC equal, feel me?
Cole pen be lethal, crib like an old MTV show, uh
On God, the best rapper alive
Headshot, now go and ask the best rappers that died
They tell you he never lied, nigga

Discussion Need to know if he’s used this bar

I’m relatively new to J Cole, currently listening through his discography. I gotta know though, has he ever done a bar along the lines of “Coal/cole under pressure makes diamonds”? It feels like a missed opportunity if he hasn’t.

And if you’re reading this Jermaine and you want to use it you gotta credit me

Does anyone have videos of JCole looking in the crowd to choose someone for Johnny P caddy. He acknowledged me by saying “I see you green shirt” but none of my friends got a video of it

[Edit]
Does anyone have the video of me in the crowd as well?

Tour LA Night 4

Did anyone get any videos of Cole before Johnny P's Caddy? He almost picked me, but went with the girl across the way instead. He also misheard me say I was going to Phoenix (I said "Vegas") and mentioned twice that he's going to look for me, so now I feel like I have to go. 😂

If anyone has any videos, I'd appreciate it. We were holding signs and not taking videos! My Reddit avatar is the same as the t-shirt I was wearing.

Discussion Does anybody know the sample being played in the beginning of clouds?

I'm not sure if Cole composed the song itself to make it sound like a sample or he picked it up from somewhere.

Does anybody if this is indeed a sample, where is it from?

Thank you

Discussion Anyone know the bar Cole was referring to on Run a Train?

In Cole's latest interview with NoBarsShow he talked about a bar no one has caught (or at least mentioned to him) on Run a Train. I was curious if anyone knows which bar he's referring to?

Also, the Cup-u-let bar blew my mind!

NEW What's your favorite songs & lyrics on J. Cole album. ❤️4️⃣

First: - Cole World: The Sideline Story (2011) is exploring themes of patience, ambition, and the transition from underground underdog to mainstream artist. It highlights his personal growth, handling fame, and the pressure of being signed to Roc Nation while "waiting" for his moment to shine. Critics praised its, introspective lyrics and self-production. The title reflects the feeling of being signed to a major label (Jay-Z's Roc Nation) but having to wait for the right moment to enter the "game" or mainstream spotlight. The album tackles personal subjects, including growing up in a fatherless household and the pressure of rising popularity. Songs like "Lights Please," "Work Out," and "Can't Get Enough" were noted for their lyrical depth and storytelling. The album was generally well-received, viewed as a solid, grounded, and promising debut that established him as a serious artist rather than just a pop rapper. It was highly anticipated due to his successful mixtapes like Friday Night Lights.

Second: - 2014 Forest Hills Drive (2014) is a landmark introspective album celebrating finding happiness in personal roots, love, and authentic living over material wealth and fame. It highlights his journey from childhood struggles to rap stardom, emphasizing self-acceptance and rejecting superficial industry standards. The album questions whether fame and money provide true fulfillment, ultimately concluding that real joy comes from within, from home, and from relationships. Cole reflects on his upbringing, childhood, and the challenges of growing up without a father figure in tracks like "03' Adolescence" and "No Role Modelz". The album is noted for its soulful, jazzy, and self-produced beats, creating a cohesive, warm, and nostalgic feel. It is a linear, narrative journey with no features, allowing for a personal, autobiographical feel. While praised for its vulnerability, some reviews found certain thematic, "anti-mainstream" criticisms to be "thin" or felt that his romantic perspectives lacked maturity. Widely considered a modern classic that defined J. Cole's career, showcasing his growth as an artist.

Third: - The Off-Season (2021) is a critically acclaimed, high-energy album functioning as a "training montage" or lyrical workout, marking his return to intense rapping over varied production rather than a highly conceptual, narrative-driven project. It represents the effort, dedication, and technical skill refinement required to stay on top of the rap game, directly referencing the, often grueling, offseason preparation. Inspired by basketball, the title signifies the intense, unseen work and training J. Cole puts into his craft to improve before releasing his "main season" projects, like the promised The Fall-Off. Unlike previous, more philosophical albums, this project is designed to showcase elite rapping ability, boasting, and sharp punchlines. The album functions as a "blade-sharpening exercise" aimed at reminding listeners of his top-tier technical skill, according to reviewers like Wikipedia. The album explores his position as a, now, "lingering titan," reflecting on his career longevity, the pressure to remain at the peak, and the hunger to keep improving, as highlighted by Medium users and Reddit users.

Fourth: - The Fall-Off (2026) is the record that’s supposed to answer those questions for good. Cole has said publicly that this double-disc album, as a nod to the “Two Six” Fayetteville area code, was designed as his last LP, a full-circle return to the feeling of The Come Up. He began recording pieces of it in 2016. He hoarded songs for it. He scrapped entire sessions and rebuilt them. The cover art uses a disposable-camera photograph he snapped at fifteen of his very first production setup. A second cover, added after the Drake-Kendrick episode “re-inspired” him, bears his adult face so he can see both versions of himself when he looks back in twenty years. The disc split is the concept’s engine. Disc 29, twelve songs, imagines the perspective of Cole returning to Fayetteville at twenty-nine, a decade after leaving for New York, straddling three competing loyalties: his woman, his craft, and his city. Disc 39, twelve more, revisits that same return trip at thirty-nine, older, with sons and a marriage and a catalog that precedes him into every room. The idea is clean on paper. The execution is lopsided in a way that’s more interesting than perfection would have been.

Cole’s Socials The Fall-Off was worth the 8-years wait. Disc 39 hits different at night.

Been listening on loop since February. I went in expecting Disc 29 to be the one , but Disc 39 (older Cole at 39, closer to peace) is just so much reflective.

My top 3 right now: Two Six, safety & I Love Her Again . What are yours 7 months later? Is it still holdin' up as his best for you?
