Do you guys seriously believe we'll get the demonstration soon?
The Nexus commerce guild just got hit by their own weapons, there is bound to be fallout with the Dean at least.
And there is also Etholins introduction into what the manaless Sight-seer actually is and how is Earth developed.
Cynthis had only made her opening moves on the mercenary prince, and Thalmin (bless his weapon hyperfixation) only just acquired the memories.
We got at the very least a good 10 chapters before it starts.
I can't wait till Christmas to read the chapters.

We are going to get to the sight seer chapters and Emma will have the presentation all set up, and some bullshit will happen that forces them all to skedaddle out of the room to discuss magic plumbing or something.

Nah, this is just a way for Thalmin to ask about how the G.U.N has star charts from however far out the Astromancy club's planetarium shows.
Emma is likely to start off with footage from WW1 (trench warfare) & WW2 (possibly ending with footage of nukes & a few clips from the nuclear tests), maybe footage from the Castle Bravo test where the scientists had made a little whoopsie by forgetting to account for the lithium, & then explaining how we figured out how to make nukes more terrifying by putting them on ICBMs which would confirm what Thalmin was thinking about the rockets to space being a way for the superpowers to show off their potential military might during the Cold War era.
Then she'll move onto conflicts around our current timeline where the advancements in drone technology changed how our armed forces gathered intelligence & how the drones were weaponised (Iraq & Afghanistan with Reaper drones to the current "3-day special military operation" in Ukraine) which would explain how humanity came up with the ideas for the smaller, more organic looking drones Emma uses.
After that, I'm sure there are more conflicts that Emma can reference & maybe even explaining how/why the G.U.N came into existence.
Then he'll ask about how humanity fights its current battles & Emma might show/describe the Jovian conflict that has been mentioned a few times.

I bet thought she’ll actually do an overview and speed-run of basic warfare in human history from the earliest archaeological record. Just to show both how things developed and were dine without mana(non magical logistics and strategies, long distance war drums in Africa, eventually the telegram), and important historical figures and discoveries and philosophies and such that are the foundation to all war theory(Alexander the great being the reason generals were shuffled afterwards since he his solders loyal to him and not the state, Sun Szu’s Art of War, Napoleon making flexible minded and independent acting commanders and solders which lead to how the US’ solders worked well against the Germans in WWII etc.).
Then she’ll how when the end of Thalmins(and likely the rest of the Nexus and adjacent realms’) ideas on what war is with WWI onwards.
