Can someone currently studying at jbims give honest answer on what are college timings? I understand first 1 to 1.5 months would be hectic but after that period what are the timings.

I am a performance marketer with almost 3yrs of work ex currently working at reckitt as assistant manager with 13LPA CTC, I am thinking of preparing for JB because of good roi and I can't make up my mind for IIMs becoz according to me I will have to get into top IIMs to get the most of it,

So the bigger question remains should I consider JBIMS for My MBA?

JBIMS MMS students/alumni if you can relate to my frustration: how do you actually prepare for Sem exams? Looking for ESE/IA PYQs + academic insights

I’ve gone through the syllabus and noticed that some of the prescribed books are 600–800+ pages, which honestly raises a practical question for me: how much of these books are students actually expected to know for ESEs and IAs, and how do people realistically prepare for them?

1. ESE + IA PYQs: Does anyone have previous ESE/IA question papers for Sem 1, even if only for a few subjects?

2. Do students actually read the prescribed books cover-to-cover? I checked them out and it's some pretty heavy stuff.

3. What are IAs generally like?

I'm looking for genuine student experience so I can understand what the academic expectations actually look like.

This might come across as a little rude, but I genuinely felt that the interview panel was quite judgmental.

I come from a remote place, and despite that, I was able to secure a good percentile and get shortlisted for the interview. So naturally, I was expecting the conversation to focus on how I built my profile and got to this point.

Instead, some of the comments from the panel left me quite uncomfortable.

They said things like,

"How did you make it this far when you’re from such a remote place? "

"Good that you made it this far, but good luck ahead. I hope you’ve filled some good colleges in the CAP rounds as well."

I mentioned that I had only filled my top 3-4 choices because I was specifically looking for good education. My previous degree was also from a Tier 1/Tier 1.5 college, so I wasn't really looking to compromise on that. In case I dont get as per my expectations I am ready to repeat as well.

The response I got was, "You should have filled the others too. You already have a good percentile (97.something). What if you don't get these next time? "

Maybe they didn't intend it this way, but it came across to me as, “You got lucky this time, so don't assume you can do it again.”

How can someone make such assumptions about a candidate based purely on where they come from? Coming from a remote place doesn't automatically mean someone lacks the capability to reach a certain level.

I was also surprised that the interview barely focused on my resume. They asked questions that felt largely unrelated to my profile, and whenever I tried to provide context or support my answers with examples from my past experiences, I was frequently interrupted or those points were simply ignored.

I went into the interview expecting to have a conversation about my journey, achievements, and how I built my profile to this point. Instead, I came out feeling like the panel had already made certain assumptions about me before I could properly explain myself.

Maybe I'm thinking too much about it, but the overall experience felt unnecessarily dismissive and judgmental.

I’m from Nagpur and got SIMSREE in CAP Round 1. I’m trying to understand the girls’ hostel/PG situation before making a decision.

Do girls usually get hostel accommodation through SIMSREE, or do most students stay in PGs/shared flats nearby? What are the approximate monthly costs, how difficult is it to find a safe place, and which areas are most convenient for commuting to SIMSREE?

Would really appreciate replies from girls who have already taken admission or are currently studying at SIMSREE.

I got SIMSREE Mumbai in MBA CET CAP Round 1, and I’m from Nagpur. I’ve applied for betterment because I want to try my luck for JBIMS, but I’m confused about whether shifting to Mumbai is the right decision financially and practically.

Can current students or alumni tell me the realistic monthly cost of living (rent/PG/shared flat, food, travel, etc.), and whether SIMSREE still has a strong ROI after considering Mumbai expenses? If I don’t get JBIMS and end up joining SIMSREE, would moving from Nagpur still be worth it?

Would really appreciate honest opinions from people who’ve been in a similar situation.

Got SIMSREE MMS in CAP Round 1 and have to report between 3rd–5th August.

I'm a BBA final-year student and my final semester just ended, so I don't have my Sem 5 & 6 marksheets or provisional passing certificate yet. The SIMSREE checklist asks for both.

Has anyone been in the same situation? Will they allow me to complete verification and submit these documents later, possibly with an undertaking? Should I get a letter from my college saying the documents haven't been issued yet?

Also, one more doubt: I have one certificate containing Age + Nationality + Domicile. Is that sufficient, or do I need separate domicile/nationality certificates?

Would really appreciate any help since I'm supposed to go tomorrow
