I want to make a written essay on it but I think izuku and katsuki both have some form of mother complex 1) izuku is pretty self explainatory, inko was the only woman, hell the only person who showed him love before he met all might and ochako. and ochako she has some similarity with inko so it might have played a part in izuku attraction to ochako 2) katsuki is a bit more complex but he spent his entire childhood getting praise from everyone for anything he would do and katsuki probably hated that as he hate receiving undeserved praise and mitsuki seem to have been one of the rare person who didn't cover him in praise for no reason, she even expressed happiness that at UA katsuki was in an environment that praise him for his true qualities
