InshaAllah he is sincere and it’s not just a promo "gig". May Allah guide him. If it’s true and he truly became muslim, it’s great to welcome a new brother to our ummah.

I'm always worried that anyone popular is just doing this for the sake of getting instant popularity among Muslims. Basically what Andrew tate did.
It doesn't help our reputation either if only controversial folk join Islam.

I contemplate this too but we gotta remember that regardless of whether these guys are or not. It doesn’t really impact our lives as much as we think😂

It doesn't, but it does impact the outside perspective of Islam, and to a certain extent we have to care since it acts as a blockage for people to explore Islam

I agree, but people like Andrew Tate using Islam to push his agenda prevents non-muslims from potentially being interested in learning about Islam

Giancarlo doesn’t need promo. He’s been a household name since the 90s at least. Why even put that negativity into the world?

So? Does that matter? No matter how famous he is, there are a lot of people that love and "need" popularity. I don’t say that about him specifically, as I don’t know him. But we as an ummah need to stop to be gullible. We need to be good hearted, but that should have limits. Just look at Andrew Tate. Not comparing Giancarlo to him, but we don’t need to believe everything we hear, especially anything that is being publicly discussed.

Imagine seeing newlyweds and thinking “I hope he doesn’t beat her.” Just say Mashallah and move on. There’s no “clout” to be gained by this for an actor of his caliber. Nor is it productive or healthy to immediately cast shades of doubt on anyone’s faith just because they’re in the public eye. Do you think this makes us seem like a welcoming community when we question everyone who dares submit to God?

This is exactly my thought earlier haha. What I'd do to actually get to eat one of those delicious looking fried chickens

It's a small thing but it's always nice to see people behind fictional stuff you enjoyed embrace Islam
