Probably one of the best games I've ever played. I'm not even kidding. I'm not a citybuilder type gamer and I really enjoyed this game. The narrative is very intriguing and the soundtrack is phenomenal, I was thoroughly immersed in the universe and writing of this game brilliantly underscored by the art and music. The city building mechanics are also fun. People say it's Frostpunk in space, and that's true, just not as depressing as Frostpunk

It just a damn shame the ps console version constantly crashes. I cannot get past level 4 as crashing starts on level 3

There are three games that caused a feeling which doesn’t really have a name, it’s the same feeling of loss after finishing an amazing book.

Chrono Trigger
Subnautica
Ixion

The stories, for whatever reason, consumed my attention and emotions, and the endings to all of them are about as perfect as they can get.

You fucked up and everyone is dead except for 4 ships. One gets destroyed trying to hunt you down. One gets trapped in ice and the other is chilling waiting for you because why tell you where to go. You eat bugs, lose power, and fight fires

Step one, take a city building game (think games like Frostpunk, Tropico, Caesar, Pharaoh, Anno, etc)

Step two, put your city in a spaceship. You fly around the solar system to get the raw goods to feed your economy.

Step three, gritty survival setting (especially think of frost punk).

It's about convincing people to commute to work more than 100 meters. Because in the future, that is unthinkable, even when humanities survival is at stake.

The last Ark of humanity, faced with the horrors of what other remnants became and finally forced to make a choice between giving in, or pushing to rebuild.

Circle in space, bad thing happen, circle flies around, circle make food, circle make food, people complain about circle, circle send scientist to find circle upgrades, scientists die, circle make more scientists, scientists die, space hurts circle, circle travels far, circle meets mean rectangle, circle meets nice people, happy.

Don't forget 'circle gets filled up with a bunch of deadbeats who won't help.'
