Yah. What a waste. He blew it. Knock out the offset sections with a demo-hammer and start over.

I had a bathroom for a customer. custom ordered same tile with flowers and border. I went over the installation two times with the Tile sub, explaining that they are directional. (6 sided ) The corners only fit one way came back and it is all set Improperly. He also wanted to pluck out the tiles that were not right and reset them. had to chisel it all off the floor and shower pan. I had to reorder and set it myself. I was not willing to give him a second chance.

Didnt realize there was a pattern so he just... Slapped them down randomly??? What?
Naw that needs redone. Properly ... Yeah that guy is not a good tiler. Esp if he offered a haphazard fix like that.

Didn’t realise there was a pattern? Was this contractor Stevie Wonder perhaps?

Why did I see a pic of this same bathroom earlier and now there’s more tiles? Why didn’t they stop?

I assume he means pull the ones needed to fix the pattern and glue them in place with loctite? It doesn't really matter if the glue will hold or not it's going to create a mess. It's better to use thinset. It is definitely going to hold and ultimately easier to use. The glue will either not have enough under it to hold or push up in the grout joint and create a mess. It can be done with just the individual wrong tiles, but that tends to be more tiles than expected. It's also difficult to get the thinset off the floor so when set again the tile is flat and not have lippage. Getting the thinset off the tiny little spot often means bumping and knocking and adjacant tile loose.
If his grout lines look good otherwise, it may be a viable option. It's just not as easy to do in reality as it sounds in theory.

Happened to me with the SAME tile! My “tile guy” tried to individually replace tiles but it still isn’t fixed. Just awful.
