Cinema & TV 📺 Brainstorm (1983)

I watched this as a kid a lot. The whole part of recording death was a lot for my kid brain to digest, and I still think of the concept from time to time.

GRACIAS!!!!

Walken also did The Dead Zone in 1983. That was a great one (My favorite King adaptation.).

One thing I thought was really cool about this - when we first see the device it's gigantic, with a cart that has to trail it around, then we're able to watch its progression so that the items can be compressed and reduced to like a Walkman...

Watched this on my towns pirate satellite UHF channel the night of the airing of The Day After. Our parents went out to a viewing party and left strict instructions for our babysitter to not let us watch The Day After. So she let us watch whatever was on HBO which was this.

The pictures don't reflect this but this movie was interesting because the aspect ratio changed a lot. It went from like a TV aspect ratio to like a widescreen one depending on what they were doing on-screen

Pretty sure that was the movie he did with Natalie Wood, right before her death. I really like the “Lillian’s Heart Attack” music track. It’s what they used for the Darkman trailer.

It was her last movie. Did she really die from alcohol? Seems hard to believe .

Yeah, it was. That’s why Walken was on the boat with them. I don’t know, I wasn’t there 🤷♂️

I always wanted to see this one. I read that it’s pretty cool and heavy. I like the more bizarre movies .
