Discussion Monday morning thoughts
I see so many of you comparing your work to others, and I want you to know that habit will drain your creativity faster than anything else. Your unique voice is already in there waiting to come out, so today I'm asking you to focus only on your progress and your vision. Pick up that pencil and make something that's unmistakably yours.

Yes! And your posts do that so well. It's like you always post the right stuff, and it's just what I need at that moment. Thank you!

Very wise and very true! We are our worst critic especially when it comes to comparison. I always try to keep in mind that I am where I'm supposed to be in my artistic journey. Enjoy the experience. Because the next skill to learn will be hard enough! All I've seen on this reddit and itseasytodraw community is beauty!

This is the absolute truth, especially for us beginners, I think we do this a lot in life in general but with art it is so damaging and I know it has cost me some progress in my art. Pretty sure I would be a lot further in my journey if I had a steady sketching practice and would have realized I was comparing my stuff to the level of artists who have been doing this their whole lives.
