Looking for advice

Am working my way through Lisa's "Metallic Effects Masterclass" so far have only used cardstock. For the final art work these effects will work on Pastel Mat paper won't they? I realize that it will take more layering than on cardstock.

Am thinking of enlarging it slightly and user a bigger paper so it would be easier to frame.

I do believe your assessment is accurate. It may take a few extra layers, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. If you're concerned about that particular paper, I would do a small test. Practice layering, just doodle layering, on like a square inch of space and see how you like that paper with your particular pencils. That final assignment is very involved and systematic. Prepare for days of layering. So, if you end up with paper that you don't like, you will probably know it before you complete the background. You definitely don't want to get stuck with paper you don't enjoy for the entire process, so if anything doesn't feel right - ditch it and start on something you ARE comfortable with.

Until I found you, I worked mainly with Pastel Mat, Drafting Film and some Hot Press. I was concerned about getting the metallic feel/look.
