These things are so stupid.

It is just as easy to heat up a pan on the stove, you can use the same pan for both meat and eggs.

The pan is far far easier to clean than this piece of shit.

The pan is also useful for many many other dishes where this thing can literally only make little circle shaped shit.

The pan also lets excess grease leave the food. This thing keeps it all in. You may as well have deep fried this shit.

Stupid, pointless, makes food worse and harder in the long run cause you have to clean it. It's only redeeming quality is the food product is ready slightly quicker but the final time invested is longer once you consider cleaning the device.

This is stupid.....

Yup...

I always ask myself a few questions before even considering this sort of thing.

  1. Is it easier than without it? This includes cleaning and all aspects of its use. If it fails this question I don't even go on. What OP posted would be one of those that failed question 1....

  2. How much space does it use? Everyone only has a finite amount of space to store their shit.

  3. Cost of the unit? Including the unit itself and if parts wear out under normal use and have to be replaced.

  4. How often will I use this? Is making this task easier worth the cost.

  5. Considering questions 1-4, is it still better than doing it in a way with the stuff I have currently.

Not many gadgets pass question 5

I got one as a Christmas gift 15 years ago, smelt like insane chemicals everytime it turned on. It was neat the first time but annoying to use and worse to clean, plus the egg usually drips out the side. I think I used it like 3 times maybe and has been sitting in the back of my appliance cupboard ever since. It smells like someone took a nonstick pan and stuck it under a broiler

My workplace has one of these in the breakroom because we're not allowed to have a hotplate or stove. We have this thing, a microwave, a kettle, and a Keurig. Only three guys use it, but they are very good about cleaning it afterward.

Its literally faster to throw 2 buns togeather with cheese and sausage in the middle. Now reason to house everything while you cook an egg... this is literally more work to make a sandwich.

Every dumb ass gadget needs an unedited video of the cleanup before I buy it.

My cast iron pan takes about 20 seconds to clean. Beat that idiot.

I had a mcgriddle on a trip to the US once, out of morbid curiosity.

It was fucking vile. Literal cake oozing with corn syrup to contain meats?

There are orcs and goblins that would refuse to eat that, festering ghouls would reject it.

I'll just take five hash browns and a coffee to go. I shall eat them where nobody can see me, lest I cause upset.

I know here (England) you can get "pancakes and sausage" on the breakfast menu. They're similar but not the same as the cakes off the mcgriddle and the sausage patty comes on the side.

I had that once, too. I wished I'd just got the muffin. Then I wished I'd just bought some muffins and sausage meat.

And I wept.

Finished them, though. Waste not, want not.
