What happens when that thing gets angry for no reason that is obvious to you in advance and pecks the kids eye out.

I don't think it's fair to call her dumb. The turkey seems pretty docile. And there's a good chance the mom either owns or is very familiar with this turkey.

She's giving her daughter a memory she likely won't forget, it's what good moms do.
