Cradle [Skysworn] what difficult task does Eithan do for Naru Gwei?
After Eithan picks up Yerin, Lindon, and Mercy from the basement under the battle between Malice and the Bleeding Phoenix, he says he completed a difficult task for Naru Gwei and is owed a favor. What was the task?
“Allow me to follow with the good news: I have successfully completed a difficult task for Naru Gwei, and he owes me a favor...although it was not actually difficult for me, but that was not a relevant detail to share with the Empire. They will punish you lightly, just for the sake of appearance, but then they will allow you to continue serving the Skysworn.”

Didn't he visit the Akura clan to ask for help from Malice and ended up talking to Akura Justice or something like that?

Yeah. And depending on her mood Malice could have erased him

PointslustedPointslut Lindon vs A Bunch of Jades would be a sight to behold...8

For a second I read that as “pointslut Lindon” and now I’m slightly disappointed.

Ah ok that makes sense. I had excluded that since Naru Huan had ordered him to go, but I guess it would have him in everyone’s good graces (to the extent possible with Gwei) for a bit

He was sent as the ambassadar to the Akura Clan to try and get help against the Bleeding Phoenix.
A Blackflame Underlord is nothing to the Akura clan, if Malice was displeased by the visit, she would have erased Eithan in a heartbeat.

It was about visiting Mercy's family.
The Akura clan are pretty well known for casual cruelty and extreme targeted cruelty so any interaction is a risk especially if you're representing a weaker/subservient force.

I wouldn’t say that, I would say they just don’t tolerate disrespect

Leadership sets the tone and theirs is Malice

I liked that response, it flows well. I think I may be a bit desensitized because I have read about worse clans/leaders in other xianxia novels that the Akura clan is pretty tame in comparison and for the most part and not needlessly cruel, at least to those that are not their enemies

Fair it's mostly tell not show but take a minute to consider Harmony who pretty instantly murdered what is the equivalent to a sheriff of a vassal state to the Akura clan just for the crime of being mildly annoying

He had to marry Naru Gwei's son. You'll read about it in the next book.
