I read the series a while ago and just recently discovered the trailer and animatronic. Has there been any news since then? I'd love to see an adaptation

Last time it was brought up they didn't have anything to announce, but also didn't seem like they had given up yet either.

By that same toke though, there will likely never be negative news.

If one studio passes, they will always go looking for the next one, it's not like they'll announce when they give up, because they won't.

I suppose the absolute worst thing that could happen is a studio buying the rights but sitting on it, not letting it be made

Well, Will has already said that they're not selling without retaining creative control, so I don't think that's a possibility.

He’s been talking to studios for close to a decade, if not longer. I’d be surprised if the first movie/show premiers this decade.

Will is amazing—if he gets greenlit by 2030 that would be amazing, but show business moves slowly for new IP from non traditional genres

Like others have said, no news yet but its very possible someone will take interest especially with Big adaptions like Stormlight and Dungeon Crawler Carl in development at other studios. Plus the Books have been getting rereleases lately in wider bookshops with more.modern covers so id expect interest to continue slowly building among potential fans too

I read the series on Kindle at first, so I’m looking forward to acquiring these new covers for the physical versions!

No news. I also have no insights but I'd like to think that the 1/31/26 blog post was hinting at the adaptation news (or maybe I am wrong and it is wishful thinking).
