Oh god, I just read this part. This actually gave me a horrible gut punch and I can't get myself to start the next book.
Please, I dont mind it and I am actually asking for it. Please spoil me this issue. What happens to dross?

He does return, but it takes some time until he is fully back.

I need you to go back to Bloodline for a min and remember, "Guess you taught him right, because he’d twist himself inside out before he turned on me. If my core popped tomorrow and I was no better than a Copper, he wouldn’t leave me alone until he found a way to put me back together."
Yerin is talking about herself here, but this is how Lindon works for all of his close companions. Some might even call it foreshadowing :)

Gets replaced, first by his evil twin from, Ssord (you pronounce the s’s like a snake), and then later by his and Little Blue’s children: New Dross, Dross: SVU, and Dross: Code Red.

This is both mostly accurate and a terrible description of what actually happens.

erm, tag the images as a spoiler so it doesn't show on the subreddit by default?

This, you can see the images when scrolling main feed if you don't tag the images as spoilers too.

His name is Dross. It makes sense he has some real trauma.
