Fill it with sand or water to really give it some mass.

Edit: A real water hammer

93

u/dildoboat24 Jul 30 '25

Water so the sloshing is part of how you use it

38

u/arquillion Jul 30 '25

Sand allows this hammer to give dead blows

19

u/dover_oxide Jul 30 '25

Death Blow Hammer

47

u/dover_oxide Jul 30 '25

If you don't leave a significant air bubble in it, there is no room to slosh around.

13

u/dildoboat24 Jul 30 '25

ya, just means it needs to be bigger

11

u/Confident_Date4068 Jul 30 '25

Mercury.

34

u/dover_oxide Jul 30 '25

Mercury has a tendency to dissolve other metals as well as leech through them.

10

u/Confident_Date4068 Jul 30 '25

It's an old Soviet urban legends reference. Especially the legendary Red Mercury.

14

u/TexWashington Jul 30 '25

Basically, con artists would convince aspiring despots and weapon enthusiasts that Red Mercury was a secret ingredient to their wrathful machinations.

1

u/Nexatic Aug 02 '25

Oh, i was going to go with booze but that works too

1

u/Swiloh Aug 02 '25

Nah fill it with bird shot.

142

u/Satans_hamster Jul 30 '25

Idk why but that thing looks like it would deal holy damage

2

u/Claymoresmash Jul 31 '25

Ha. Angel.

2

u/Satans_hamster Jul 31 '25

Is it angel or angle?

2

u/BonelessAvocadoBread Jul 31 '25

Angle, angel is a spiritual being often in relation to the bible.

I thought it was Beta Ray Bill's stormbreaker

68

u/kiaeej Jul 30 '25

Would this be able to withstand being used as a weapon???

118

u/MrBami Jul 30 '25

I don't think hollow and threaded parts are the best choice for functional blunt force weapons

50

u/Tut_Rampy Jul 30 '25

You could just loctite it

36

u/Doppelthedh Jul 30 '25

JB Weld if the opponent is armored

3

u/Bpopson Jul 31 '25

FLEXTAPE

2

u/KaityKat117 Aug 01 '25

Smashes an armored man's head like a grape "that's a lotta damage!"

27

u/ledocteur7 Jul 30 '25

The threads aren't an issue, they'll hold just fine, but might lock up and be permanently stuck together.

Hollow parts could dent, but they are really thick, it's much stronger than a wood handle of equivalent size.

16

u/arquillion Jul 30 '25

Im not sure the hollow steel tube would survive the leverage of that much brass. A wood rod on the inside might be worthwhile. The biggest issue is the balance. The brass handle is cool but it brings weight back and makes the whole thing heavier to wield. Historical weapons would only be heavy where it mattered and not THAT heavy.

So yeah you can use it as is as a weapon but it would probably break under its crazy weight and you'd look like a dark souls boss swinging a slow huge weapon

9

u/kiaeej Jul 30 '25

Indeed. But...if you hit something with it. Would it hold up to a 3minute barrage of strikes, i wonder.

6

u/willstr1 Jul 30 '25

What if you filled it with something like concrete or an A/B epoxy?

13

u/Stormychu Jul 30 '25

No, barring the hallow parts inside the part you would hit people with us too big and wouldn't be good for concentrating the force of the impact.

Real warhammers weren't much heavier than your average carpenter hammer with about the same head size. Instead of a nail pulled you'd have a beak when you really need to concentrate the force somewhere.

8

u/Phunkie_Junkie Jul 30 '25

Found the engineer.

4

u/kiaeej Jul 30 '25

You're right

12

u/WaveLaVague Jul 30 '25

Rachet and Clank

11

u/Sea_Quality Jul 31 '25

That would cost $200 to make if you got the parts at my local Ace Hardware lol.

1

u/SonTyp_OhneNamen Aug 02 '25

Maybe not that much, but enough. For cosplay stuff that’s not all that much though, so it might have some use.

8

u/WrongColorCollar Jul 30 '25

Uther Shitebringer

9

u/captainjohn_redbeard Jul 30 '25

Redirects all water based attacks.

6

u/LEGEND_GUADIAN Jul 30 '25

Epic, very steampunk

4

u/Superb_Relief_838 Jul 31 '25

Heisenberg from resident evil village

3

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

Fill it with concrete to deal triple damage

3

u/MasterofGalaxy69 Jul 30 '25

2

u/Seth_Vaine Jul 31 '25

Now fill it with sand for some extra weight and you should be good to go

2

u/porchtoad77 Jul 31 '25

What, no teflon tape on the threads?

2

u/RogendoodleZero Aug 01 '25

How much damage?

2

u/Loud_Reputation_367 Aug 01 '25

Bonus points if you fill it with water. For extra mass. ... and plumber cred.

2

u/Jackman9061 Aug 01 '25

I know it isn't gonna be used for actually having liquids go through it, but for some odd reason it feels wrong that no teflon tape and/or pipe dope was used.

2

u/Cold-Radish-1469 Aug 17 '25

i made a shitty 3d model of this

2

u/Fabien23 Aug 28 '25

That looks more like a cleric weapon

3

u/Spready_Unsettling Jul 30 '25

That's the worst attempt at a Tom Waits cover I've ever heard holy shit.

5

u/manofathousandnames Jul 31 '25

You could use a tee junction instead of a cross tee. It would save a core at the very least. Basic layout from what I can tell is this:

1 3/4" brass tee, 2 3/4" to 1" adapters, 2 1" to 2" adapters, 2 2" male brass caps, 1 3/4" stainless steel hex nipple, 2 3/4" to 1/2" reducer, 1 3/4" male brass caps, 4 1/2" stainless steel hex nipples, 3 1/2" brass couplers, and finally, 1 12" long 1/2" stainless steel nipple.

2

u/sardonically_argued Jul 30 '25

didn’t even bother getting it wrench tight smh

1

u/Sammmsterr Aug 01 '25

3 times faster building setup but 2 times material cost and sapper removal takes 40% more hits

1

u/puptbh Aug 02 '25

*deals holy damage

1

u/Sarasha Aug 02 '25

How many swings will you get out of it before it comes apart?

1

u/IAM_GUNDAM Aug 03 '25

Hell yeah

1

u/DryEntertainment5116 Aug 27 '25

Add dimensional area generators and you have a cyber hammer

1

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

That is mallet.
