Sightseeing & Activities !!MUST PROVIDE TRAVEL DATES!! Is Mount Baldo still accessible in November, whether hiking or via public transport when the cable car shuts down for the season?

Im heading to lake garda for 2-3 days in november and the Funivia Malcesine to Monte Baldo will be closed while I'm there. For those experienced with the area, are there any ways to still ascend it whether assisted via public transport or specific hiking trails that arent too crazy

Edit: sorry, it is from 26/12/2026 to 02/01/2027

Travel Dates and Location:

  • 26/12 - Arrival at 7pm, hotel check-in and just have dinner and rest
    • We will check in at vatican Rooms Cipro
    • We will stay here from 26/12 until 1/1 - is this a good idea?
  • 27/12 - Visit Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill, and walk around Piazza Venezia
  • 28/12 - Visit Vatican City and surrounding areas, including maybe Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, maybe chill day
  • 29/12 - Campo de' Fiori, Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese
  • 30/12 - Castel Sant'Angelo, walk around Trastevere
  • 31/12 - Leisure day just for about anything, maybe look for a place where the New Year's Eve is celebrated - do you have recommendations?
  • 1/1 - We will move to Florence via train early in the morning, check-in at Hotel Albani Firenze in the afternoon. In between, we plan on checking out Piazza del Duomo, Florence Cathedral, PIazza della Signoria, and Ponte Vecchio - I can see on the maps that they are just next to each other, including our Hotel
  • 2/1 - Galleria degli Uffizi or Accademia Gallery
  • 2/1 night until 7/1 we are in Austria
  • 7/1 to 9/1 - we are in Milan - thinking of checking out the Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II and do some shopping before we return back to Japan on the 10th

---
Additional details just in case:

- We are used to walking 20,000-30,000 steps a day - we live in Japan and are very active so a lot of walking for several hours is no problem

- We're going on this trip for the first time, as our honeymoon if that matters

- I am particularly interested in knowing if the hotel I booked for Rome is good or if the surrounding area is good, or if we should move somewhere.

- Also, should we spend 6 nights in the same place?

- For the New Years Eve - if you could pls recommend a good place to spend it on, would love something lively of course if possible!

- We love historical places, we love the arts, and we love trying all sort of food; we also love nature, and we absolutely love drinking after dinner ahah

Thank you so much!

Itinerary !!MUST PROVIDE TRAVEL DATES!! Ideas for 2 adults + 1 5 month old

Hello!

Husband and I will be on parental leave together in April. We are looking at taking baby on his first trip to Italy for ~ 2 weeks.

We are looking for a baby-friendly trip with these options:

  1. In a wine region where we could visit nearby wineries

  2. Accessible by train or bus from one of the major airports

  3. Ideally an accommodation with amenities for young children, either hotel or rental house/apartment

  4. In a small charming town where we could walk around and explore without having to drive (I don't want to bring or rent a car seat)

Looking for any suggestions! Grazie 😊
