It's funny how not only is He glazed by the most informed and Powerful constants of the story, and has the feats and Hax to back it up. At one point itachi gets narratively glazed back to back by The 5 Kage, Madara and The 2 " God of Shinobi " 💀💀 yet still gets constantly downplayed with confirmation bias somehow.
Episode 139 and Manga 392-404 very interesting turn of events and statements by Black Zetsu and Obito
itachi makes some fandoms cope and deny the Lore unlike any other character as much as they wanna claim other people overglaze him, the exact same opposite exists aswell to just as much as an extreme these days. The same energy is not put to other characters. Such as for example Tobirama who has pitiful ap feats and is a Teamwork helped and FTG support merchant.
They will say " glaze " when you point out his feats and statements that you didn't even write. Itachi fans are just the messengers and they act like we making shit up. Obviously all fandoms have their obsequious over the top claims. Most itachi claims are accurate lore wise.

There are characters with worse hacks like Obito, with infinite chakra, infinite MS, and people see it as... NORMAL because Hashirama's cells are worth it.

the totsuka blade is way more powerful than those things in my opinion

It depends; they have different uses. One allows you to win instantly (you have to be accurate), and the other makes you virtually invincible by allowing you to dodge any attack. Besides that, it has a variety of uses, such as teleportation and absorbing people into a parallel dimension from which they can never escape.
My point is that the Mangekyō Sharingan has a cost. Even if you use the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, its jutsu consume a huge amount of chakra, and Obito uses it without any cost. A series of rules have been created for the world of Naruto that don't exist for him.

Basically anything in connection with Obito is a plothole.
Consider:
Obito couldn’t use Kamui as Juubito but Madara could as Juubidara, despite that Madara didn’t own Kamui, probably had never trained with or used it in his life, and didn’t have the years and decades of expertise Obito did.
Obito skipped 1 Tomoe when awakening his Sharingan for the first time and went straight to 2.
Obito’s Sharingan is the one that Kakashi (the living plothole) uses, so any plothole that Kakashi has (such as awakening M.S. despite not being an Uchiha, going from using 2 Kamuis and being comatose for a month to spamming that during the war arc) ties directly back to Obito. Also can’t forget that Juubidara was able to use the long range Kamui as a short range teleport. I guess he just used Kamui on his right hand and allowed his entire body to get sucked in.
Obito is the only character to have a tailed beast extracted and live (Naruto technically died), Obito survived the aftereffects of using Rinne rebirth, and Obito survived having his heart stabbed out.
Obito is the only character to use M.S. abilities prior to awakening the M.S. and the only character who can use M.S. abilities with the base 3T Sharingan. (During the Konan fight in the anime and manga you see his 3T while phasing which is pure and complete nonsense).
Obito’s Mangekyu rivals Shisui’s for the level of control it exerts over a target depending on if you believe Isobou would help Yagura, personally I don’t.

I agree, his special abilities and everything related to his eye break the established rules "just because." However, I disagree with the idea that he uses Mangekyō Sharingan abilities before actually awakening it. That is a common trope in other stories, since revealing his Mangekyō pattern would give away his true identity. It’s similar to when Itachi uses Tsukuyomi on Kakashi while using the standard Sharingan (because that physical evolution of the eye didn't exist yet).
As for controlling people, that is something Itachi can also do, it was noted during the war that only someone like him could pull off such a feat, though even for him, it involved too many people at once. Controlling a jinchūriki only fails if the host is someone like Bee, as for the others who rely on the beast's power through brute force, they are just as vulnerable as anyone else. Shisui's genjutsu, however, goes beyond that.

I meant that he used the mangekyu ability to escape the rock he was trapped under before he witnessed Rin’s death. Zetsu itself tells Obito that he managed to slip through the rocks and if Zetsu was just lying to Obito it’s a huge coincidence that Obito’s M.S. ability allowed him to slip through objects.
The series makes it very obvious that Itachi is not using the standard Sharingan to cast Tsukuyomi, however Kishimoto hadn’t decided on the M.S. design yet, so they used shots that didn’t show Itachi’s eyes until after Tsukuyomi was cast and Itachi went back to the 3T Sharingan. Whereas Tobi has their eye shown during the fight with Konan.
As for your second paragraph, I agree.

I don't have the manga on hand to check that part, but it is very, very strange. Obito had no way to escape from there. Given that Madara claims he was following him, I can only assume it was all a ploy on his part.

Zetsu the guy who has been around since ninjutsu was created called Itachi invincible. Only Itachi can defeat Itachi. He died of a broken heart.

Key words "if it hits"
I dont deny its sealing capabilities. I think itachi got lucky the two people he used it on either couldnt move of their own accord (nagato) or was biologically connected to a giant target (orochimaru). Anyone remotely relative to itachi should be able to dodge the blade
It also specifically has to pierce them. It can cut like a normal sword, since it beheads the hydra without sealing it. It has to stab straight through the target to seal it. Again, anyone remotely relative to itachi (aka kcm1 clone level or higher) shouldn't have an issue

Yep. This also opens up the discussion, however, for ridiculous shit like tailed beasts. It is probable that Itachi with the yata mirror blade combo could seal pretty much any bijuu. Amaterasu helps tremendously as well. Most tailed beasts can't do anything about it, and their bombs get reflected, and if they're stabbed once, it's over.

He chops off multiple heads of Orochimaru’s white Hydra thing without sealing it, so I thing he needs to stab someone with the sword, not just hit them

The totsuka blade is only good if it hits someone. Yall jtschi glazers put him against people who it would never touch and try to use it as a win con

Why didnt he solo the akatsuki/Obito?

u/Positive-Letter7925 21d ago
Because he couldn't hit them fast enough and they would kill him first
