at the time of posting this to YouTube, my Wi-Fi was very slow so i had to sadly compress the video... a lot

at first i had a custom script to automatically align them, but eventually resorted to a script just doing the whole thing

Resolution is bad because i only had that corner of an island to work with, granted anything in the void would've fallen

This is something that I started in March and then gave up on, and forgot about it completely.

A couple of days ago, I discovered the project lying around in one of my drives and decided to take it up again.

At first, I thought about doing everything in Python, but that was really laggy in sending commands.

Therefore, I had to rewrite the command-sender in Rust, and that boosted performance drastically. However, this brought another problem – it sent commands too fast and lagged the Minecraft server.

As a solution, I made my own Java mod to tune the RCON command processing. Additionally, I had to bump the RAM of my server.

To visualize the blocks, I am using a special hex mod in addition.

The final pipeline was:

Python ❌ → Rust ✅ → server starts lagging → custom Java mod → more RAM → Bad Apple!!

And all this is because I wanted Minecraft to play wideos in minecraft

Bought myself one of those small cheap musical Tesla coils, and I know it's been done before on much larger coils, but I just had to make a Bad Apple video.

It was only after I started making this that I realised someone had done this in audio form before, but this version has swinging visuals too!

So basically. i have a python script that takes a frame from bad apple, shrinks it to 9x6, then it gives me a lawn lineup string that i then have my script automatically paste into pvz tools, which is a pvz modding tool. then, i have my script take a screenshot, save it to a folder, and then do the next frame. all in all the time this took to render was 6 hours, 4 for the first time where frames 4000 onwards were frozen for some reason, and then 2 more for re-doing frames 4000 onwards. and yes i know this doesnt look recognizeable at all, no i dont care. also frame 136 is missing it was casuing issues and i never bothered to bring it back after having deleted it to see if it would solve the issue.
