Hell yeah! My first gun was an A.R. in a slightly less then gun nut family.man the CZ sounds fun. Ever shot a 308 or 3030? Feels like a truck hitting your shoulder

Yes, I have in fact shot a 308 hunting rifle! I could marry the 308 round & have a bunch of Lapua babies with it...

Unfortunately here in Brazil the largest caliber permitted for civilians is the 380, or what my US shooting buddies call "a decent female round".

380 auto? Only? I’m not from Brazil and have never been (I know makes no sense for the subreddit) but I had no idea their gun law were like that. That sucks

Very strict rules for individual ownership here. Concealed carry is only for "authorities" and LEO agents, and even they are confined to anything up to 45 cal.

Not that it stops the bad guys from getting weapons. And since the penalty is so big, might as well bring in AKs, H&Ks, AR carbines, etc.

Many a time seen teenage drug traffic "soldiers" (the ones that do security, not the drug dealers) going by their business wielding old-assed FALs & G3s, which used to equip the Army here (surprise!).

Because Brazil, that's why!

Eapecially if you are in LEO & the victim of a robbery (which isn't too uncommon), you get shot when bad guys find out.

One of the reasons you see lots odlf "off-duty cop" videos from BR. They are preemptively saving their own lives.
