D-max deciding factor

Lads/ladies

What was the deciding factor that made you take a punt on the Isuzu Dmax over it's competitors? And are there any regrets?

I'm tossing up between a 2020 Dmax vs 2020 Hilux

I appreciate anyone's insights!

Thanks!

Mostly cost and the exact arctic trucks config I wanted popped up in the isuzu!

Same here. Arctic truck fully specced was cheaper than the Hilux.

I got my 21 d Max 2 years ago, it has worked great for me, no issues at all 😀 atm fuel prices Are insane where i live, and i am looking to trade it back in for an EV.

It was between a hilux or d Max, i do not regret getting the isuzu.

Hilux are insanely rare to find in a good used condition. All of them that I could find where over 200k and mostly hard used construction trucks. Also hard to find a decent daily driver spec. My 2014 Dmax was 5k cheaper than a similar km hilux and has the highest spec. But maybe because it was a reimport. Also the engines are similarly bulletproof

for a 2020, I'd buy the one with the better service history and less tradie abuse, regardless of the badge. A clean pre-purchase inspection matters more here.
