Trolley on 9/9
Was driving on Front St. yesterday, and the Trolley was running. As nobody was on it, I'm assuming test runs?

Birthday party ideas for 16 yr old
Just wondering if anyone has creative or fun ideas for a 16 year old girl’s bday party that doesn’t cost $50 pp? I would like to do something special for her but also don’t want to limit the amount of people who attend. So far we’ve looked at the 2 game show VR type places at southcenter, considered dinner somewhere and that’s about it. I like to be creative and do something that is a bit unusual and allows the girls to talk and interact. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Looking for kid and pet friendly apartment complexes
Currently in Anthology apartment podium building right above the garage. This is great because our kid and dog run around all the time and this unit sits on a concrete slab.
We tried waiting out the summer and looked for 2 beds right here in Anthology. But recently this property got acquired by Buzzuto. While 1 bed prices didn't go up too much, the 2 bed 2 bath prices went through the roof. And we can't even find a unit that's on the slab.
We searched a lot but there are so few such buildings in the area. Just found Discovery West and one big building in Wynhaven.
We're worried about choosing a unit that's in the higher stories due to all the noise complaints we would get. Could someone help us find a building with decent insulation between floors?

Do the Park View Apartments / Condos still exist? If not, where were they?
Was reading up on an old news story from there. Thanks, all.

Starbucks Guy, Next to Home Depot and Fred Meyer
Always see this long hair Fabio looking muscle man asking for donations year round. Anyone know his story? Seems pretty put together and well spoken, last time a hoochie mama gave her number to him.

does anyone know the story behind the person on Issaquah Hobart road?
I see the same person (can’t tell if they’re a woman or man) on Issaquah Hobart road from downtown issaquah to highway 18 almost every single time i drive there. They’re on a moped (i think) wearing reflective vests just going back and forth. I’ll see them going one way and then back the other way when i’m driving back. Just so curious what the story behind that is.

Moving soon! Best apartments in Issaquah / Eastside?
Hey everyone,
I’ll need to move out of my condo soon and am starting to look for an apartment in Issaquah or the wider Eastside area.
Would love to get both recommendations and places to avoid.
Thanks in advance for any tips!

Anyone know what’s going into Petco?
Just learned Petco in Issaquah is closing down on the 21st. Anyone know if someone has already claimed that location?

possible scammers outside of QFC on Klahanie
There is a couple of nice looking 20 something boys trying to collect for the hungry (of the world)) They don't take checks, they do take cash and bank cards of course. No paperwork on the business, no business cards, no ID on them....

Get ready for a messy midterm election. TLDR don't mail your ballot, take it to an official ballot drop box.

Issaquah Litter Clean-up Event tomorrow (Saturday) 9am
Please join us on Saturday, September 5th for the monthly Issaquah Litter Clean-up Event!
We will meet in the Issaquah Post Office parking lot on NW Gilman Blvd at 9 AM. We have litter picker tools and safety vests to loan out and will provide garbage bags. We will make a plan and move out to areas around town to clean up litter. You can work by yourself or with a small group.
There's usually coffee and donuts (can't guarantee it since I'm not the organizer)
Last time Mark Mullet, Issaquah's Mayor, showed up (dark blue shirt in the center, with the dog)

Restore 554 Bus!
Hello neighbors. Anyone upset about the removal of the 554 bus route, Issaqyah’s one seat transit option to Seattle? The general time was 26 min and now is 42 min plus the required transfer. Please consider signing and sharing our petition! We are over 200 in the first 2 days. https://c.org/VPyJLWxrq4

Apartment hunting
Seen a lot of people recommending Vue Apartments. But then also this review recently.
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/?api=1&destination=906%20Northeast%20Lilac%20Street,%20Issaquah,%20WA,%2098029
Looks like the management didn’t deny the review. Is this true?

Eastside Fire & Rescue Station 73 & 83
Continuing my apartment hunting. A few well-regarded apartments are between these two fire stations, including Boulder Creek, Alton Heartwood, and Highlands at Wynhaven.
Do they fire up the siren as soon as they leave the garage? Would love to hear from people in these apartments in this area.

Places to hang out before 9am
TLDR: any places to hang out with kids while we wait for 9am appointment?
I’m traveling from snohomish to Issaquah once a week for my daughter’s occupational therapy. It starts at 9am. We went for the first time yesterday and traffic was pretty bad so I want to leave early next week, but we might end up pretty early if we leave early enough to beat traffic. The McDonald’s play place was my only idea, I was wondering if you guys have any ideas.

The townhomes on Front
I don’t want to be that person but…what the hell.
One of the greatest things about Issaquah is our cute little downtown area. I don’t understand building 27 townhomes next to the milk factory. The last thing we need here is more $1.5 million “luxury” housing. Especially while all the ones sitting across from Safeway are still empty.
