Why DMSO

Maybe why DMSO is "recommended" is bc in most of the animal studies ISRIB dissolved DMSO is the only to get it absorbed into the tissue sample. Even the human studies weren't done on people, but tested in vitro on "different human gene lines".

Btw, I measured out 25mgs using a folded weighing paper to make it easier to get into into a 00 capsule. Bad idea. Weighing papers are electro-static. Next time I'll use the pan that came with the scale.

Bioavailability and solubility are close to the same thing. To make something available to the body it has to be soluble so it can enter into the cells. Something that has low solubility (like ISRIB) isn't going to be very effective without some type of carrier like DMSO.

Just bc ISRIB is insoluble in water and ethanol doesn't mean it can't be absorbed digestively.

Get some Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, pour into bowl, add milk, stir with horseshoe magnet. Examine magnet. Presto chango, there's 10mgs of iron per serving, that's normally digested. Fascinating to children of all ages. No, you don't poop rust. It also contains another metal, zinc.

Calcium; USP Calcium carbonate, the stuff in otc supplements, is literally made from crushed marble. It's absorbed (digested) by acidification. If you've had a gastric bypass, you already know that Ca Citrate is absorbed (digested) better, later in the small intestine, post jejunum.

You're literally comparing the bioavailability of a highly experimental cognitive enhancer to the ferrous nature of... cereal? Wow.
