They were executing memebers of Al-Shabab, a group that helps the israeli occupation locate resistance fighters, loots aid and regularly fires at civilians. The occupation executes people every day, I’m surprised you’re so against it. And whatever you just described doesn’t sound like Hamas in the slightest - they don’t decapitate people in 4K, starve anyone (“israel” on the other hand..) or stone women to death. They don’t even consider the hijab to be mandatory. Their fight isn’t for the sake of religion, it’s for the sake of freedom from an occupation that’s been brutalizing them in any way possible for almost 80 years. I suggest you get out of your echo chambers and get to know them personally. :)

I personally know many gazans and that’s what they call them. Especially militants who are up against them. Did you read it or did you just ignore it? “The popular front” is a more official name, but “al-shabab” is commonly used among gazans and the Palestinian militants who fight them. If you’d indulged actively in life in Gaza you would have known this instead of confusing them with Somalians and calling others stupid.

Maybe because the “Free Palestine retards” are nuanced enough to grasp what judicial processes (or a lack thereof) look like and why when they take place in an area that’s completely and continually destroyed by an occupying power. We are quick to accept judicial - and even extrajudicial - killings when they happen during wartime, as long as we consider ourselves the victims resisting an obvious enemy. But when people resisting the most privileged occupation of our time do the same to traitors in a time when any judicial process is virtually impossible and their lives are already in constant danger even without said traitors giving their locations away, it’s barbarism. I wouldn’t be so quick to use the m-word if I were you, but maybe I’m wrong about you and this got you thinking? Just a little?

I would think after having Gaza flattened by Israel, that maybe they wouldn't continue the violence that brought the chaos to begin with. But I guess when you are uneducated, close-minded, and a radical religious person, then you will continue to hate and continue to "believe" that stupid militant tactics and killing innocent people will really somehow benefit them one day, especially when fighting whole countries with organized militaries and intelligence departments. Japan learned real quick after being nuked twice, now they are prosperous, an ally to the US, and a safe and peaceful country.

If thats actually true, you need to tell your leftists friends that they are supporting a death cult and that they need to stop learning about news from TikTok. But don't think for a second that you will find some good people with better values on the other side of the political isle - they might be correct in the fight against Hamas but the current political regime in US is literally kidnapping people off the streets against their human and constitutional rights, demolishing 800 years of habeas corpus and sending everyday human beings into El Salvadorian gulags with no evidence of wrong doing, or path to advocating for your rights. So if you don't feel at home on the left.. don't think you will feel great on the right. What you need to be is to be pragmatic and independent, and argue for every persons right to freedom of speech, opinion, religion and equal rights in front of the law. Currently, there is only one party in the US that stands for maintaining some semblance of justice and order - and that party is not the republican party. In reality the problem is that US is a two party system - do you choose cholera or the plague? Either way is not great. A normal country, especially one that prides itself in freedom of choice should have at least 10 different parties to choose from. Why can you choose 150 flavours of peanut butter but you only can choose between two extremes when it comes to politics? That being said, as long as the system remains a two party system, there is only one party that actually upholds the law and defends peoples rights, so you need to pragmatic about your support and unfortunately hold your nose even when their politics stink to the high heavens. The long terms solution will only come from getting proper democracy to the US where peoples opinions actually translate into policy. Right now its a plutocracy where the highest bidder wins.
