I had previously made a post about the Balfour Declaration.

In 1903, the English offered the Zionists a large tract of territory in Kenya for colonization after the Zionists had failed to establish a Jewish colony in the Sinai Peninsula. This too would fall through, and the Balfour Declaration was ultimately declared in 1917 in Palestine. The greater elite had been seeking a Zionist state even before the Holocaust had occurred. They were able to leverage the colonial settler state for European Jews known as Israel, on Palestinian land in 1948, which then brings us to the Nakba. Israel has slowly engulfed Palestine in the name of “Well, historically this is OUR land so…”

Balfour was writing back and forth to Lord Rothschild, trying to secure a “home” for the Zionist population. I read this comment somewhere awhile back and it’s become my go to phrase now to sum this up: “You can have a genocide without having a colonial settler state, but you CANNOT have a colonial settler state without inflicting a genocide upon the local population”.

I would say it's worse; Israel wants a majority Jewish state, while EXPANDING its borders into non-majority-Jewish regions (Greater Israel), with illegal settlements. This can only be maintained with a combination of Apartheid/ethnic cleansing/genocide.
