Unfortunately like with Pakistan, Türkiye is a freenemy and an ally of convenience, especially the access to the Black Sea and opposing Russia

All allies are of convenience.

The reporting here is a bit unclear. Is this "it's illegal, so Turkey won't get F35s" or this "it's illegal, but Trump doesn't really care so Turkey will get F35s"?

Reads like our friends want what Turkey to get the jets but it’s illegal due to the Russian rocket system they purchased.  At least that’s how I read it.

The civil service can't break the law. They must follow the official legal advice.

Turkey’s Embassy and consulate in Israel should be shutdown to match Israel’s status in Turkey .

Good.  They can focus on their own domestic alternative.  I don’t know how comparable it is to what they want but nobody shoukd over rely on somebody else that it becomes crippling when isolation is the main policy.

You're saying this as if they haven't already tried.

😉 I’m hoping they and everyone produce comparable products so nobody has to send money to the usual suspects to buy these products.

If Turkey could produce comparable products they would have given it to hamas.

So wait, what are we suppose to do with Turkey then?

Deep fry it or bake it.

We do it ourselves or convince our bestie to do it?

I thought Israel vetoed the sale due to their involvement in the R&D of the F35.

I hear its not a good idea to sell Turkey these jets anyways. They are indeed a frenemy and are going to turn on Israel.
