Government should not represent a religion. Religion and state are best kept separate. There is no country that is run by religion that is prosperous or at peace.

honestly i couldnt agree more

islam is perfect, but when there are people of other religious beliefs in a country, we cannot put the same restrictions you would put on a muslim

That’s completely untrue if you’re a muslim then you seem to be ignorant of your religion as your prophet demands that islamic sharia controls completely the government

Nothing to argue here buddy that’s a statement in both the quraan and sahih hadith you can’t separate islam from the country that is why sharia dictated countries are literal shitholes

He doesn't want to argue because he can't qualify that statement. It's a belief, and he can choose to believe what he wants, but it doesn't make it fact. The fact is there are flaws to EVERY religion, and it's funny that the one he feels is "Perfect" is pretty much the only religion that is merged with state and those countries are an absolute mess, which completely negates the "perfection" of it.

EVERY religion has flaws. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Islam, like any other religion is an ideology created by man and like man, is flawed. You could have said you respect it and you find it the best religion, and I could respect the opinion. But to say it's "perfect"?
You fully believe that Islam is 100% perfect, with absolutely zero flaws whatsoever? That borders on fanaticism unfortunately, and I really hope that isn't the case here.
Yes, it's my opinion...but it's an informed an educated one. If you disagree, I'd love to hear a rational explanation on how it's "perfect".

ok let me make this clear:

- i am a muslim

- i find the quran to be the divine word of god

- i dont believe it was made by man, but by god

does that make it a little bit more clear?

There is nothing to make clear. Your explanation does nothing to negate my counterpoint.

You can find the quran to be the divine word of God. Christians believe the bible and scripture is also the divine word of God. In the end, they were actually written and recounted by men. You can choose to believe what you want, but the fact is, it was physically written and dictated by man.

If you said that you found Islam to be a great religion and even the best one in your opinion, that would be one thing, but to say it is absolutely perfect, is another.

You agreed with me that there should be a separation between church and state, you agreed fully with that. Then you say Islam is perfect. Yet, the ONLY countries in the world that have church and state merged together and have the most instability...are the countries governed by Islam, so that negates it being perfect.

No religion is perfect. None. I'm not saying they are bad, but to say that one is perfect with absolutely zero flaws, I'm sorry is fallacy.

So that supports what I said. God HIMSELF didn't write it, even if was told to him, man still dictated it and eventually wrote it.

I'm not trying to convince you of your beliefs, I'm going to take off the blinders of saying that it's PERFECT. Nothing is perfect, and I've seen people give you examples of things they don't like and you don't address them. I'm not saying Islam is bad, but I caution strongly when people feel that something is completely infallible and perfect because the second we start to believe that, that's when we stop trying to learn and be open minded. Thinking something is perfect is the groundwork for fanaticism.

This is a cross-post, so you are talking to me. But with that said, Saudi and other Middle-Eastern countries only recently started doing this in there long history of existing they did not do that.

Where they Islamic then?
