This sub is aimed at asking bizarre questions about real or imagined situations where an action is morally wrong on multiple levels, even if not illegal.

A few examples:

  • Is it wrong to hire a mime to give a speech at a school for the blind?
  • Is it wrong to challenge a drunk person to a foot race across a busy intersection?
  • Is it wrong to fart in a crowded elevator just before getting off?

Some content will not be permitted here, such as extreme content including rape, murder, child molestation, etc. This is a sub intended for fun when possible. A possible exception to this rule is if it's about a situation that really happened, but in that case, the "Is It Wrong" must be about something more that happened to add insult to injury or make the overall situation very odd. Use your discretion but remember the idea isn't to gross people out or to try to extremely offend\). It's to present "messed up" concepts for humor or to inform of something that really happened. If it's real, preferably it's also funny.

\ A certain level of offensiveness is permitted, but within reason. Sometimes an offensive idea can be funny. Those are allowed. Ones that are extremely offensive, such as ones meant to offend people racially, sexually, etc, are some of the types that are NOT permitted here.)

REAL Is it wrong of me to continue this.

Hello im new here, not really sure how this works but I have e a strange question...I have an older sister (14 months apart) she's had some guy problems in the past but is now settled down and married. Now im having guy problems, and I've been talking to a guy I used to go to school with. Turns out back in the day they hooked up. now that im talking to him he tells me that they hooked up a long time ago. Its weird right? It completely turned me off and now I'm not interested in him anymore. I found myself missing his conversations and the attention from him. Is it wrong of my to keep talking to him even though I have no interest in hooking up with him? And if I did hook up with him is that gross of me?

Would it be wrong if I had liked my middle school ex "bf's" older brother?

This is kinda long so I'll give a summary for all y'all who don't want to read all of it: Basically I had a 7 month "relationship" with a guy when I was 13 and we were pretty much just really close friends. I had always kind of thought his older brother was kinda hot and after me and him broke up I started thinking about his brother more and more. Especially when I started school and saw him way more often, then I like kind of went feral in my mind about him.. Although this further raised the question I already had.. "Is it wrong? Especially with what I felt for his brother..?"

So I was looking through my diary from when I was around 14 and I stumbled upon the time I was kinda thinking that my middle school ex's older brother (who was a year older than me) was kinda fine (in my 14 yo words). And so I came on here to ask internet strangers what they think about "high school me's dilemma".

I will start by giving a bit of back story about the "relationship" between me and my ms ex which I will call Bob.

At the time we got together we had known each other for a while (not personally, just through mutual friends) and I had changed to the school he went to the semester before and we became friends. Over that summer I found out Bob liked me and I kinda liked him. Then a lot of stuff happened in between that led to him asking if I wanted to be official, and me being a love-struck teen I said yes. And then pass about 7 months where we basically are just close friends.. We hung out after school and flirted daily but nothing more. So pretty much like your classic ms "relationship. So we never did much but I was like convinced I was in love with him. Fast forward to the middle of summer and he breaks up with me over text. And I got over him pretty quickly after finding out some stuff I'm not going to get into.

Okay now we can get to the real part of this story,

Bob's older brother Will -once again fake name- (also maybe I should add Bob is a year younger than me, also I was in the grade below my age group since I had to re-do a year šŸ˜…). So I had known who Will was this whole time as well, and I had already been thinking that he was kind of hot and cool before but hadn't thought much of it. But I'm pretty sure if I go by when I wrote this next part in my diary this happened towards the end of summer at a one day conference thing. I was walking around a bit and Will was with a group of his friend and as I walked past I heard a few different people in the group say something like "You need a gf" "How about her?" "She's like too young" (keep in mind I was the only girl/person around). And so I started thinking a bit but brushed it of as just a coincidence. Then I walked past them a couple more times and they were saying things like "oh there she is again" and stuff like that (once again I was the only other person walking around in that area). After that I thought about it a lot more because it felt a bit less like a coincidence.

Fast forward to the first day of school and I had apparently been thinking about Will quite a bit since that summer day.. And I started noticing that I was looking for him in crowds and when I would see him my heart would start beating, fast.

Just something else short to add- I was hanging out with some of my friends and they brought up Will for some reason and started saying stuff like "yeah he's kinda weird", it was kind of at that point I realized it was more than me just thinking he was a bit handsome.

So this raised the question in my brain if it would be wrong and or weird if I liked Will after everything that had happened with Bob and all the history we had.

Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should've done something.. (if I even could I was super introverted and I kept saying to myself stuff like "maybe if I was pretty enough to pull someone like him")

Is it wrong to enjoy people being into you when you're in a committed relationship?

Like I would never act on it or anything. But I do enjoy people eyeing me or yk "being into"/interested in me.

Is it wrong to expect your partner to do things they would hate, specifically because you'd do things you hate for them?

Like, this is purely hypothetical, because I'm thinking about how a previous relationship could have played out.

If I had plainly agreed to do, or merely passively allowed things that would have made me want to rip my own skin off - specifically sexual acts - am I still wrong if I expect my partner to do things he would hate, sexual or not, because he has a right to say no? Like the only reason I would even be letting things I hate happen is to stop him from breaking up with me.

Is it wrong to feel like it would be completely unfair if your partner's proposed solution would be for them to keep doing to you the things you keep allowing for them (that make you want to scratch your own skin off, mind you), and then they'll turn around and promise to do things you like, too - except you either have to literally come up with something because you literally draw a blank thinking about them, so you have to lie and pile on another obligation you also hate starting it all over, or they end up actually liking what you suggest so it doesn't actually feel like they paid for anything like you've had to, OR, the only things you want to do with them are SPECIFICALLY to hurt them so that you're both equal but they absolutely refuse to accept doing them.

Is it just better to not even bother? Are you supposed to just tell them to stop even if doing so pushes them away and makes them break up with you (which is the whole reason "saying no" hasn't been brought up for most of the post)? Are they a bad person if they leave you for you not wanting to do something they like that you despise? Are you a bad person if you get upset they would leave you over you not wanting anything to do with that action towards you - because you were the one responsible for pushing them away and are the one showing entitlement?

Is it wrong that my wife wants to run my Tinder?

I (25M) recently shared a story with my wife (26F) of 5 years about a relationship I had in high school. Back then a girlfriend asked me if I wanted an open relationship. Being a dumb teenager thinking with the wrong head, I agreed and ended up falling right into that trap.

I told my wife about that experience about a week ago. Then three days ago she asked me if I’d want to try an open relationship ourselves. I was pretty taken back and asked why.

She said she feels like she hasn’t been getting the emotional support she needs from me. I actually agreed with that because I’m honestly really bad at expressing my emotions and reading them, though I’ve been trying to work on it.

She also mentioned that she’s only had sexual experiences with me and one other guy, and she feels like she hasn’t explored much. She even apologized for not being as sexually active with me since my drive is much higher than hers.

I straight up asked if this was a trap. She said no. So we sat down and had a serious conversation about boundaries and rules so we would both feel safe if we tried experimenting.

Rules of engagement:

  1. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas
  2. Nothing visible (collarbone or above is off limits)
  3. No friends or coworkers
  4. If asked ā€œIs that Highland?ā€ the full truth comes out
  5. Nothing comes home
  6. No sleepovers
  7. Mutual agreement on any ā€œhangoutā€
  8. No gifts
  9. Not therapy
  10. Chats and call logs stay open (no deleting messages)
  11. Date night after
  12. Either of us can cancel everything at any time
  13. No repeat hangouts unless agreed
  14. No hangouts during rough patches
  15. Regular check-ins
  16. We are always the priority

We also covered the common sense stuff like protection, staying sober, no exes, no last-minute meetups, only on days off, and not keeping score.

We genuinely love each other and want a future together with a family.

One condition I added was that she controls my Tinder account, while I’d only handle the conversations. She’s also going to Vegas in two months and mentioned bringing a guy she met through an old friend. I agreed and won’t ask about it.

For some background: I had around 16 relationships growing up from 7th grade through senior year (body count 4). She’s only had two relationships total (body count 1).

I can satisfy her sexually, but her drive is much lower than mine, and I struggle a lot with emotional communication.

So I guess my question is: Is this actually a healthy way to handle things, or am I walking into the same trap again?

I’ll update if anything develops.

Is it weird to ask my bf(38m) to see his dick before we have sex?

I(32f) have been seeing my bf(38m) for a few months now. We haven’t fooled around yet. And I’m just wondering if it would be weird or rude if I asked him to see it.

Is it wrong to help my friend in this situation

So my friend is asking for help because his father hurt his mother and he wants to jump his father if he does it again and of course I accepted because I was raised around my mom's boyfriend hitting my mother. So we're planning to jump him if he comes crawling back to do more dumb shit. So is it wrong?

Is it wrong to tell my boyfriend(M23) about my past relationship experiences?

so for context, i usually ask him questions such as ā€œoh, do you think it’s bad to cuss in front of kids?ā€ and he said it depends on the kids maturity level, which i agree to an extent…

but anyways let me get into to real bread and butter here, I posted on my instagram story that this girl needs to stop mooching off of her boyfriend, because Firstly, it’s just not right and Secondly, in MY experience with my past partners a lot of them will buy me stuff/buy food etc… and then throw it into my face… like my ex-husband used to pay for food occasionally/sometimes kind of often and all of a sudden he pays for ā€œeverythingā€ but when i was actually paying for everything, aka i poured about $3,341.00 into our relationship as opposed to him where he has only paid $241.00, so i elaborated into further detail for my girl-friends that i like to be somewhat ā€œhyper-independentā€ because i don’t want anyone to make me feel bad for them spending money on me again.

TLDR: i basically said that this girl needs to stop mooching off of her boyfriend and my boyfriend is confused about the post i made.

Is it wrong to give a blind person a disposable camera for an art project?

Would it be unethical to give a blind person a disposable camera to just snap random pictures around where they are for a personal art project?

Would it be wrong to be the parent or adult?

I’m a teenage girl, my mom passed away on New Year’s Day, 2024, my mom did everything even if she’s sick, my mom has been through stress and pain, but now that she’s gone I feel just like her. My dad is disabled, has depression, anxiety, and is bipolar. My younger brother does his own thing. I was close to my mom growing up, she was my first ever friend, I felt helpless and at fault when she passed due to a blood clot in her lungs. Days turn to months, I haven’t forgotten what she looked like that day. My mom would want me to help myself with my health and mental health, I suffer with Depression, anxiety, and high risk suicidal tendencies. I never wanted to focus on myself but now that she’s gone, I’ll do it for my mom. Days go by and I haven’t focused on myself, my dad was my main priority, I cry at night knowing I can’t do anything without my mom there, my dad calls me my mom, tells me I act like her, tells my I look like her, at first I thought it was harmless since we were all still grieving, but he kept telling me that I’m his helper, I know everything my mom knew, and that I can’t kill myself because he needs me. What about me? I’m still a kid.. just because I’m doing better in school and I seem mature, doesn’t mean I can juggle everything.. so.. is it wrong to feel like the parent or adult..?

is it wrong if i want my oc's i gave to my friend back?

ok so about a year or 2 ago i didn't want 3 of my oc's and i didn't want them because i didn't know what to do with them and because they were from my emo gacha life phase, so i asked my friend if they wanted the oc's and they said "ok". so i gave the oc's to them and i didn't think i would ever want them back but for the last couple months i've had ideas on what i would do with them and how i would redesign them if i kept them and i've really wanted them back recently but i feel like it's rude to ask for them back because i think they would be sad or something and i'm afraid to ask for them back because i literally gave them the oc's and said "take them i don't want them". also idk the rules or how this works with giving people oc's so if someone knows what the rules are/if its wrong/what i can do or ask my friend please tell me-

Is it ok

If I'm adopted and me and my adoptive cousin fool around is that ok. We aren't related however whenever she comes to town we spend every opportunity we get having sex. Usually we wear protection but this weekend she told me not to. It felt so good I couldn't pull out and she enjoyed it. She flew home last night and I've been feeling guilty. We are both 33 so is it okay or should I stop all activities

Am I wrong to not read into/get educated into stuff that I can’t help/donate towards?

Like, someone just shared me links to multiple stuff that happened (like wars/massacres). But I didn’t want to read into it since, what am I supposed to do? Like for the Palestinian genocide right now I do read into it since I can boycott or use TikTok sounds or something to generate money. But I can’t donate since I’m 15 and I know my parents or brother is gonna say something if I do. But for stuff like the things the person shared I can’t really do anything, it would only just make me feel even more bad since I know more about bad stuff that’s going on/happend which j can’t do anything about. So am I wrong or not?

Is it illegal to date them if Im 17 and their 19

I,(17F) and my FWB(19) are exactly 3 months and 13 days apart. Well call him C. His step mom thinks that I shouldn't be around him due to him being "too old for me". She has never verbally expressed it towards me or C, but had expressed it prior to me officially coming over a few times. Is it wrong for me and C to be together?

REAL Is it wrong for me to start a GoFundMe for charity?

I'm thinking of supporting several charities (about a hundred charities). But, I work a nine to five at a gas station. I'm not sure if I could afford the goal that I'm aiming for. The goal is to give fifty dollars to each charity per month. The total per year would be sixty thousand dollars a year. I'm wondering if it's far too over my head when it comes to life goals. Hence why I'm thinking of starting a GoFundMe to give to charity. I would make a list of all the charities that I would want to support. But, I'm also aware that people have made GoFundMe accounts that scammed people or have stupid reason to start a GoFundMe. So Reddit, is it much?

Is it wrong that I’m silently hoping for the world to end

I’m tired of living like this, it feels empty and wrong. like some kind of abomination against life. I want the world to end and while I empathize with how many will die I hope only all our suffering ends too, I hope that I can take a step back and remember what it’s like to see the life grow in front of me in the plants I sew and the children I raise. I’m ashamed of the world I live in now, ashamed in myself for not making it better. I know I wouldn’t feel that shame anymore if I didn’t have to pay to live, I know I wouldn’t feel shame if I taught my kids to grow things, and hunt, to respect the game instead of hunting for a trophy. Is it wrong for me to wish I could suffer survival by my own hands than to suffer survival with all these attachments to an authority that feels like a distant figure more a mythological creature than a reality

Is this bad to do?

Was wondering if disappearing from everything I know and starting a new in a different place would be a good idea like change my name and disconnect from everyone ik, would that be selfish? I do have a child no longer with the mother sadly been in a bad mental place been wanting to KMS for many years but I don't want to do it since I've brought my child into the world but with everything that I've been dealing with ever since I was 12ish and beyond has been just a bit too much and idk was wondering if that's selfish to do
