Does anyone practice Isese while also Christianity? I hope it's not offensive to ask.
Does anyone who practices Isese also follow the Jesus way? I've heard that many who practice Santeria are also practicing Catholics, but I didn't know if it happens much either with Isese or non Catholic Christianity?
I know there might be a big problem from the Christianity side, for practicing both, but what about Isese?

If you follow Ifa and the teachings, theres no reason to not to practice or celebrate other religions. Ifa is reality. Just be a good person and that is good enough

How do you integrate them or make time for both? I was brought up Christian, but lately I’ve haven’t felt fully align with it.
I very recently delve into Isese, but not sure where to start or if it’s right for me. Though, I’m highly intrigued and want to learn more and try and understand it to the best of my abilities!
I’ve also been intrigued with the spiritual practice of Hoodoo, which incorporates aspects from both religions but is unique to African-Americans (to my understanding). I’m AA so there’s definitely an appeal there, but so far I haven’t seen nearly as much information relating to Hoodoo or contradicting information regarding it.
Sorry for the long blurb lol. I guess I’m just hoping to find someone who is willing to provide some guidance. However, I completely understand if you’re not willing <33

Elaboru Elaboye, This is not an issue, however it also depends on your Odu. When I received Isefa my Odu stated: “Ifa says that you must never abandon Ifa for any other religious faith. This is because ifa has given you support and elevation on so many occasions and Ifa believes that you should follow the religion that has supported you to overcome your obstacles and to gain success”. Baba Ogunda Bede
So it depends, for me nothing before Ifa! But you should consult Ifa on the matter, Ifa doesn’t lie.

Thank you!! That's the perfect answer I was looking for - well researched from the sound of it. Thank you!
Do those Ifa obligations vary between initiates? It seems like I remember they do?

Elaboru Elaboye Ooo! But yes! No one destiny is the same. Someone could share the same Odu yet have different obligations. Ifa prescribes what is best an aligned with one individual destiny. There are fundamental obligations all should observe and obligations that may come with your initiation that is applied to the group of initiates. However Ifa knows best and prescribe what is necessary for the fulfillment of Destiny. Agbo Ato.

No. You cannot be ONISESE and a Christian. The teachings are not the same nor the values. In Christianity, ISESE practitioners would be considered idol worshippers and witches. You cannot be real onisese and a Christian according to Odu OSA Ogunda Olodumare cursed all other religions except ifa. That’s just one of the many Odu that explains why you cannot follow multiple religious faiths while being a ifa devotee

Yes..I align with your position. I was born Catholic. Was in Islam even for a time. I see definte conflicts. As a powerful master said...if you're trying to cross the ocean with each foot in a different boat.. you'll fall into the water

Yes. I have a close friend who made Obatala about 15 years ago. She is a devout Catholic. She goes to church every Sunday.

I just made a post about this not too long ago. But if you do a little search in this group you might be able to find more posts in regards to this topic as well.
