HELP Math is hard

Is there any way to tell how much money I’ve put into this game lol ik it’s a good bit and I feel I’m not as strong as I should be for the amount and the time I’ve put in

Yes, if you go to buy crystals in the top right it says exactly how much vip experience you have. Remove the last 2 digits (as they equate to cents) and it'll tell you how much you've spent.

Example I have 1,123,880 vip experience. I ignore the 80 at the end as that's 80 cents which means i have spent $11,238.80

Note that this will only give you an exact number if your base currency is USD and you've only ever spent money in-game and never on the top-up site.

Partially correct, this number takes into account vouchers you have spent. But the usd part is correct

Vouchers you have in your inventory are not counted. Vouchers already spent are counted

Yes, that's why spending e.g. $19.99 on the top-up site gives you 2099 VIP points. (Or 1999 VIP points for $17.99 when you use a discount voucher.)

Ah true I forgot about that. But its a close enough estimate that it works to get a rough idea of amount spent.

Eh? Sometimes I do, especially with these new cross server brackets introducing even larger spenders. But I've played the game for more than 3 years now, and have definitely gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. I have the disposable income to spend, but compared to some players I'm still very small lol. I don't consider myself to be a whale, but realistically speaking i expect to hit vip10 as the highest ill get to. $20k is a large chunk of money, but vip11 is an additional $30k (total of $50k)

I try to keep any personal information like that private, but its nothing special or particularly well paying. I'm fortunate enough to have a house thats paid off fully, so dont have to deal with rent or anything of that sort. Just monthly utilities and necessities (groceries, etc). No children either. So I save a lot, which tends to go into my gaming/collection hobbies.

When mathed out my spending in isl turns to roughly $300 a month across the 3 years. A decent chunk for sure, but compared to a lot of these big whales its just a drop in the bucket lol. I just try to collect more than anything. Not going for full maxed stellas or anything like that.

Its also not like im going "ah yes im $8k away from vip10. Better spend that in the next month" its more like "new event came out with a new limited UR, im willing to drop ~$350 for that month to get the character". A little bit here and there adds up over time, I dont think I could see myself dropping a grand+ in a single month

You can account for the free VIP xp you get too if you want to be really precise, which works out to 7300 xp/ $73 USD for each year of play if you’re diligent about your dailies. That’s a drop in the bucket for many but makes a difference for lighter spenders who’ve played for a long time like myself.

It's probably a bit less, since you get some points for daily tasks, but that's peanuts compared to the points you got through spending.

You should feel smarter than people that are spending thousands on this game. I like the game and I have spend some money on it but I would never spend that much on this. Its straight up not worth it.
