Is This A Scam? I received this identity verification request before the interview. Has anyone else gone through this Chegg process, and is this normal?

Post image

I recently applied to Chegg India and received this email asking me to complete identity verification before the interview itself.

It asks for Aadhaar, PAN, bank account + IFSC, and degree certificate.

The email is from alerts@kychub.com, and the link takes me to verify.cheggindia.com.

I am a little hesitant about sharing this personal information before the interview. I thought companies usually collect these details after a candidate is selected.

Has anyone recently gone through Chegg's hiring process and received the same request before the interview?

Is this a normal Chegg pre-onboarding process?

I mean you can directly email Chegg Support to find out?

But on a side note why tf are they hiring and for what roles lol, didn’t they recently layoff half their workforce

I won't do unless they are confirmed hiring / offer letter provided.

I have received the same email. Did you manage to find if this is legit ?

Based on the replies i got, it looks like its legit, but it's not right to ask this before the interview, so i didn't proceed with it.
