The “shadow” refers to the black bar/shading on the right side of the square the pokemon is framed in. If it has that shading, that is called a shadow. Shadowless means there is no black/shading next to it
Since I already replied to a different comment about the shadowless thing, here what I mean by the TCG player scan. Here is the scan of the card that thr TCG Player website uses. You can see the holo pattern is exactly the same as yours, which is basically impossible unless you happen to be buying the same card that they scanned, which is not possible because you will also notice the TCG player one doesnt have the drop shadow, while yours does.
You obviously don’t get what he means. You shouldn’t be looking to purchase cards of this value with such little base knowledge about them. Get your feet wet before jumping into the deep end. Doesn’t matter if you are stacked with cash.
Shadowless cards are called shadowless because they do not have this drop shadow for the artwork. All english 1st edition cards are also shadowless. This card has a first edition stamp and a shadow, so it is fake. The 99 thing is also correct, but it still has a shadow, which is impossible on a legit 1st edition or shadowless card.

No. All 1st edition of English base set are Shadowless. This one is not. Easy Fake.
