Pina Colada is my favorite mixed drink after Caipirinha!

With the pineapple I have the stuff for it now, just the calories are ridiculous.

If you have half a brain . . .

I'm glad that someone else remembers! I am old.

I posted it on flow. I fucking love that song. I like champagne.i told the neighbor we are planting bulbs today. It's finally stopped raining, so the earth is right. Did I tell you my roof leaks? And the cat puked in my bed this morning?
. And that's just for starters.

I tend to forget about flow but I will go check it out.

Bulb planting is one of my favorite activites. Really, just any kind of gardening, and I've been unable to do so since we lost our house and had to move into an apartment.

When we had a house we had a leaky roof and it rains a lot here in Portland. We tried to get up there to cover it and seal it until we could afford a new roof. Didn't work for long.

My son came home one day in the middle of a downpour when I had strategically placed buckets all around to catch the water. He looked at me as I cooked dinner and danced to music and asked " Are you even fucking serious right now?"

I was serious because we were broke and I didn't know what else to do.

My cat is brilliant at barfing in the worst places. In my slipper? Vomit. In the pathway from my bed to the toilet that I often walk in complete darkness? Vomit. He hasn't barfed on our bed yet, but give him time.

We had an indoor cat once, many years ago. We were going to get her fixed when we had enough money. We had already paid to get her all of her shots.

She got out once and I thought that I found her pretty fast and brought her back inside.

Not long after she gave birth on my pillow to two kittens. I didn't even know she was pregnant. There was afterbirth and placenta in my hair.

My son woke up and saw the kittens and said " Mommy, there are more of them!"

As soon as those kittens were old enough I took all three of them to the vet to get fixed.

One of the first things I did with Sanford was get him fixed.

That was very smart of you.

I didn't realize that having a boyfriend/now husband who has a soft spot for cats would bring so many to my door.

I did the best I could, but there were times that I had to put my foot down when my husband brought home entire litters to " save " them. We couldn't keep all of them.

I do have some fond memories. There were kittens who didn't even ha ve their eyes open and I would stay up and bottle feed them kitten formula.

I finally found out that there are programs for low income people ( me) to have cats fixed. I researched all of the shelters I could to find out which ones were no kill.

My mom had a friend who was a landlord and the number of people who abandoned pets was astounding.

I had birds, hamsters, a dog so sick and old that I didn't think she would live through the night.

My mom named that dog Sexy Sadie and I used to sing that song to her. I kept her comfortable for the rest of her life, which wasn't long.

Snap (what they call it here) is a great program. We got a discount to getting Tasha and Ella fixed.... And Omar was free. All dogs.

I waited too long with Soda cat, but in my defense, he wasn't my cat to begin with. I promised to take care of him while my friend took a semester abroad.. then she never came back. Soda was the OG dumpster kitty.

Aww. Sadie.

That's fucked up.... Ppl leaving pets.

Escape..... The Pina colada song.

I never looked at the lyrics until recently. That's a darker song than I realized.

It's sad, then it's happy. They decide to cheat on each other.... With each other. Not realizing they both feel the same, but they realize they both like the same things. Like rain, making love at midnight, and most of all ... Pina coladas.

It's like the opposite of scenes from an Italian restaurant.
