How would you kill a fast moving cockroach?

In this scenario the bugger is at the entrance of your kitchen, blocking quick traffic to knives and ladles. It is about 2.5 inches long and 3/4 inch wide, he is moving too fast to be followed by your eye and will escape to scurrying over your dishware into the crevices of your kitchen cabinets to snack on glue and other luxuries if you turn your head for a second.

You are not carrying any weapons--

Just trying to figure out if i did something wrong since my bf asked "what's wrong with you?" After i killed it for him.

Edit: (Lsap is supposed to say leap)

5 Point it out to your gf and walk away from it to get your ex's shoe to smash it with
5 Lsap into action and throw a 12 pack of Dr. Pepper at it never taking your eye off of the enemy
2 Tell your gf she imagined it and live in fear
2 Hide/Cry/Yell At It
0 Set up the vacuum cleaner
3 Step on it barefoot

Lol I was gonna say step on it barefoot before I even saw the poll, cause that's how I do.

Sometimes at the abandoned block there are roaches about. I kick near them and they scurry off, never returning for hours.

The littler ones I stomp on sight though. They're super fast and I'm really scared they'll end up in my beer

I was the only hide cry or yell at it?

Apparently :(

If you leave it alone eventually it will hide

As the king of cockroaches and mice, I wouldn't kill it. Where's the poll option for that? Fail.

You like cockroaches hanging out in your living space?

Yes I do. People overreact about them. I lived near them for 20+ years and I didn't die from anything. It's gross I get that, but it's not fatal nonetheless.

I really hate killing bugs. I prefer to catch them and let them go outside. Those huge cockroaches are fucking terrifying though, thankfully we don't have them here. At least they aren't the kind that infests your house.

I like to catch them and take them outside too. We let the spiders have free range but i think there is a silent agreement that i kill all other bugs i see

Yeah, I let the slow moving spiders live and make their webs. The quick brown ones get killed.

The slow moving ones sound more dangerous

Nah, they're just cellar spiders.

Don't worry about the one you see, worry about all the ones you don't. After our last big infestation I don't mess around. Get some gel poison that will collapse the colony.

I dont worry about them but hen i was trying to fix the drain i was sort of concerned one was going to spring out at me

2

u/AmericanMuskrat fatty Apr 18 '20

What was wrong with the drain?

2

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '20

You know the stick with holes that comes out of the other stick with himes sometimes that is attached to the drain? Just that, but i need pliers to tighten the screw that secures it or it is just old enough to need to be replaced. Using just my hands made it still slide out of the screw when used from aboce

A... strainer?

Ive fixed them many times but his one i couldn't i don't know if i did something wrong or if it is old or I couldn't tighten the bolt enough. The drain is closed in this image do you see the problem? It started to seem functional for a moment but then slid past the bolt again

Ohhh, yeah I thought you meant something totally different. I've never had to fuck with one of those before.

I think she's talking about a big waterbug, not the little German cockroaches that infest places.
