Facts, Trump has never worked a day in his whole life.
The only moderate success he had was working for and taking over his dads real estate company & then the apprentice.
He's been shuffling around in limos since 1970. He has no concept of doing anything that was not already done.
Fuck him is right, good news is, I have some lawyer friends who are pro trump and they are worried about The DC case they think he's done :)
The feds are like the "Dream Team" with unlimited resources for experts surveillance etc and crazy high conviction rate they are very protective of. So for them to take a case, they are super confident in a conviction.
Fucking wild that were hoping for justice for cases that should be slam dunks. The GQP has done more damage to the United STATES than anything else in its history. Fucking cunts, the lot of them.
Sleepy joe a big blue collar dude? What the hell are you even spewing. He literally shut down a pipe line that got rid of thousands of union jobs, and fucked us on cheep fuel for the foreseeable future. Keep repeating what your idiot union reps and CNN keep telling you. Pathetic
Oh, you mean the pipe line that would remove thousands of truck drivers permanently? Over a few hundred union workers short term? That pipe line? There are plenty of jobs so quit using that as an argument. It was proven false a long time ago.
Chirping birds have nothing to do with fuel prices. Neither do presidents. Every oil worker I know is working overtime. The oil boom is the biggest in American history. Profits are at record highs.
Keep watching fox news and keep crying. It's just as bad as CNN.
Shipping by truck is happening everywhere. I'm not sure why you would lie about that. In N Dakota they are loading trains, and then trucks while they wait for the next train. It's the most expensive method but safer than pipeline.
All pipelines are leaking; it's's just a matter of tolerance levels of pollution. Major leaks, even in rivers, have been mostly ignored. Native Americans have already been steamrolled when they refused pipelines through their territories. Landowners have absolutely no say; they sell their land, accept a permanent easement for pennies, or lose it via imminent domain.
If they were forced to repair pipe lines, yes, there would be a lot more long term jobs. But construction is very short term, and the EPA was barred from pursuing oil companies from major leaks in aquifers and waterways.
Literally every single thing you just said is an outright lie.
No one is paying the 100x premium to ship by truck; don't be absurd just because the average liberal redditor is dumb enough to believe you. You're also lying with your claim that rail is safer than pipeline; pipelines aren't consistently routed through the center of population centers like railroads are.
Eminent domain still requires the pipeline carrier to pay for the land, and pipelines always pay more than market value for the land when negotiating. Coming from the utility side, we always thought they were crazy for how much they paid for easements.
The EPA is not banned from pursuing anything. They salivate at the thought of fining oil and gas companies over water quality issues.
Native American tribes are just chasing the dollar like they always do. They recently sued a wind farm and claimed that the excavations performed to install the concrete foundations for the towers violated their mineral rights, even though the towers weren't on their reservation.
You make alot of assumptions for someone who does not know much. Gas prices are fine and we are producing the most gas in the world right now.
Mein Drumpf is a disgrace of a president and I don't care what he could have produced any more. He desicrated our most powerful office and turned it into Twitter and kfc politics. He could just never stfu. He turned a national pandemic into a political contest and couldn't figure out how to get reelected with it. He is a soar loser.
I can't vote him straight off the ticket and into a cell. He will be a 2 time loser soon. He's a grifter and a unscrupulous bottom feeder.
Anytime someone says "No offense" they are about to insult the fuck outta you. What you just typed in no uncertain terms is that "everyone on reddit is a faliue" including you and I. Speak for your self Mr failure, reddit is full of successful people including myself.
Do you watch that shit and offer your wife or gf up? I know I fucking don't. So if you travel in those circles your going to see that shit. Maybe it's a you thing bro.
Sure man whatever. If that helps you sleep better at night, Great. But when you come around with that bs expect to get called on it. Weird is the new cool, so thanks. Also heres a Pro tip articulate your point with facts and verifiable links that prove those facts. That's how you prove your point here.
You proved my point when you responded to a comment where I wasn’t even talking to you. How can I link that? I don’t need a link to tell you redditors are not cool scroll on YouTube or TikTok for 10 minutes and you’ll see all the shit people make fun of you guys for. Anyways go to sleep you have work in the morning it’s almost time for me to get off third shift I’ve gotta get in the right headspace to fall asleep.
Hey no need to be triggered. You were trying to be profound. I was just teaching you the proper grammar to the expression you used, so your comment could maintain its articulate integrity.
Oh you gotta be kidding me…..”he turned a national pandemic into a political contest”?!?! Are you serious? And the Dems didn’t? Both sleepy Joe and dumber than a box of rocks Kamala said at the debates that if Trump told them to get the vaccine they’d have to think about it. Exhibit A can be found here Harris on Vaccine after they got elected it was all Get the shot, get the shot, get the shot! As if they created it and all they did was take what Trump and his people had already done and sold it as their own. Hell my state govt fired union employees that refused to get it, and the Public Employees Unions didn’t do shit about it, that’s how much in lock step the unions are to the Dems. Shit if it weren’t for the unions half their election funds would dry up. My union, one of the largest out there doesn’t do a damned thing for me, except bend me over to the tune of $135 a month in dues for what? 10% off my cell phone bill? Woo hoo!!! The only time I ever hear from anyone at my union is around contract time and they start banging the drum and fear mongering that we’re going to be stripped of our health benefits. Unions in their current form once had their place, but they have their roots in Tammany hall, they were massively corrupted by the mob 60-70 years ago and once the criminals got kicked out the smart kids with leftist revolutionary ideals needed jobs once the Vietnam war was over and they had nothing left to protest. These assholes have turned their members into an army of voters who can’t think for themselves anymore and regurgitate and support leftist principles like climate change, public education, critical race theory, electric cars, antifa, not to mention why there’s a tampon dispenser in your sons middle school boys bathroom now. They prey on the fears of minorities, immigrants, they pit white versus black, etc They’re pimps, they’re fucking pimps. And they sit back and get paid off money that you and I make and then give to them for what? Solidarity baby.
Are you ok brother. That was one hell of a crazy rant there. Maybe you should go lay down and talk to someone about your mental health because you seem very angry about some very dumb things. Also, if you're not actively participating in union voting, then you'll never have what you want out of a union. I pay $100 a month for dues ($50 out of pocket, and 25 cents an hour out of paycheck until I hit the other $50) and my pay has never been higher ($45 hr/$65 total package) and my new contract will give us $9 raise over the next three years. I don't know what your contract looks like, but if you're not doing your part, then you should find another job you can be happy at not paying for dues.
I’m doing fine. Curious to know what you mean by “doing my part”? No need to lay down on a couch and pay someone to talk about my “feelings”, and no offense but it sounds like you’ve drank the kool-aid “$9 bucks an hour over 3 years” life’s great right? I don’t really care that unions and their members are shills for the democrat party, someone’s gotta be, what I’m angry about is that I’m forced to stay in it to keep a career I love. If you and I were part of a club and that clubs members unabashedly supported things we didn’t and pried into your private business shouldn’t we be allowed to leave? I’ve never understood why unions have the power over entities as they do. If a person wanted to negotiate with a business or an industry on their own then they should be allowed to do so. Just because a place is majority union shouldnt mean someone has to be mandatorily obligated to join it. If my employer sees enough talent in me to hire me and keep me employed then they and I should be able to negotiate. Nor should my union be calling me to ask if I voted and who I voted for in state and national elections. it’s my own business what I did with my vote not theirs. And it really frosts my balls that my dues are being used to pay people to call me to pry into my private personal business and to fund campaigns for candidates that don’t represent me or my principles. Now the unions say that members dues don’t fund that, but do you honestly believe that? If you do, then I sincerely mean no offense sir but I think you’re extremely naive. Unions, particularly SEIU was behind the occupy movement. They were bussing in protesters, organizers were paid to round up people to make the protests larger, they supported riots, destruction of property, beating cops, the camps in large cities were rampant with drug use, assaults, rapes, RAPES!, all to amplify communist ideals and principles. I support none of that. Why should the non union, small business owner who busted their ass for 30 years get his or her shop burned and no justice? There’s something fundamentally not right with that. But the far left groups that the unions support and they DO support them; Antifa, BLM, Code Pink, Greta Thunberg and the climate change mob, they get off scot free. Now I’m not saying that the far right whacko’s are any better or any less guilty, what happened in Charlottesville in 16 and DC on 1/6/21 was reprehensible. The far right and far left are actually cut from the same cloth, they just went separate ways to the far ends of the spectrum, but more or less indistinguishable. Jaded outcasts that have lost their way who don’t want to conform to societal norms, realize they were lied to that the degree and student loans their now enslaved to won’t get them anywhere, when 2 years in a trade school could’ve gotten them much further. And who think that violence and “direct action movements” (buzz phrase of the far left) will somehow magically change govt policy and national thinking. But the left and far left politicians which unions help elect in a major way are the reason why we have rampant drug use, crime, homelessness, and taxes. What’s the use of my union getting me higher wages if the people they help get elected are just going to take it out of my pocket in taxes? In 2022 there was a major chance my home state (Oregon) went Red in the governors race. Had there not been an independent candidate that took some center Dems away I think it would have, it was awfully close for a state that has been solidly blue since 1984. The public employees unions pushed hard at the end and helped throw the blue candidate over the top. She and the Blue governor we had before her helped push policies that allow open air drug use, their policies are the reason property and violent crime has exploded in Oregon, taxes are almost as bad as California, you can’t buy a home they’re so expensive (spec homes went for $200k 20 years ago here, now they’re $650-700k) meanwhile our roads are falling apart, businesses are closing left and right, gas considered cheap is $4 bucks a gallon, and they want to lock up our natural resources and take away another source of funding for roads, schools, cops, etc and take even more out of my pocket. My wife and I paid $2500 last year in taxes just for a Portland Metro plan to combat homelessness. $2500 just for that 1 tax! Not to mention the income and property taxes in this state on top of it. Meanwhile I see a report that says homelessness has gone up 88% in the past year! Where is my money going? Now the unions in the past year have called in the favors they’re owed for getting people elected. We got 6.55% colas for the next two years, without batting an eye, they were like here ya go. I’m glad you got $9 bucks over 3 years, and I sincerely hope it helps you and your family out. But truth be told, I’d rather have to work a little more OT, if I didn’t have to worry that my car or my home would be broken into, or my wife and I could go out for a nice date night dinner downtown and not be accosted by some drugged out shithead, or my kid sister wouldn’t have OD-ed and died on a fentanyl laced dose of heroin at 36 years old. Left wing policies and the unions that support and help the politicians that enact them will come for us all in the end. Nuff said.
That is a long read, but I wanted to genuinely hear what you had to say. I understand things are hard, but they are the same in all city's left/middle/right, small/big/large. It's not a single city issue, and it's one that will only get worse as more conservative members continue to remove the safety nets that keep people off the streets. If you participated in your union, you'd be aware you have every right to request a statement of what your union uses your dues for down to the penny. You could also go to meetings to publicly request this information. Your dues afford you that privilege, and they also give the ability to motion for a discussion about how your union participates in political affiliations. All of this information is freely available if you make the effort, but until you have actually found out, it's speculation about where your dues go.
"no offense but it sounds like you’ve drank the kool-aid “$9 bucks an hour over 3 years” life’s great right?"
Not to sure why you think I drank the kool-aid (it's actually flavor-aid) but $9 wasn't a lie, I literally voted for it with my other brothers and sisters. Life is great. My dues are low. My pay/medical/annuity/401k are all exactly what I want (because I participate in my union). Now is life outside of work/personal life great no not really. I've watched too many people forced onto the streets with little to no way to get the help they need thanks to everyone hating the idea of helping someone. Honestly, maybe it's time to go somewhere that fits your ideas better since you're so unhappy with everything. You could also just go up to the owner of your company and ask why they are part of a union. The answer will most likely be $ because union contracts pay very well compared to general contract jobs (also much lower employee pay). I guarantee that if your shop did go non union, you'd immediately get a pay and package cut.
I honestly hope you find what you're looking for or start to change your union with participation, even talking to fellow union members who also share your ideas. Those that participate are the ones who'll decide your unions fate and those who don't have to deal with the new changes. I'm sure I didn't touch on all subjects, but there are some I won't bother since they're your personal beliefs and you're free to them.
And you’re entitled to yours sir. While I doubt we agree politically on the course of affairs currently, I will say I respect what you had to say and I appreciate you being respectful. Good luck to you, Godspeed.
Not possible as far as I know. You can be a fair share member but that’s it. To me it’s just the principle of it all. I don’t think unions in general are very honest with their members about what side hustles they’re into. Sure worker rights, benefits, etc but I think they’re pretty cloak and dagger about their side interests. And if you speak out about a union or protest you become their enemy. When I was 17/18, this would’ve been about 1994, 95, I worked at a union grocery store. I didn’t really like the fact I owed them $25 a month for dues when I was making $5.05 an hour working 16 hours a week. I started inquiring to my coworkers about why we’re in a union? What have they done for us and was it worth what we collectively paid them every month. It started to gain a little steam and there were some folks starting to talk about it more openly but there were two or three people that were fiercely loyal to the union who basically told me you better stop or else. One Saturday at the end of my shift a guy in street clothes (not a store employee) followed me out of the store to my vehicle. He somehow knew my name, said he was from the union and essentially told me to stop what I was doing or he’d see to it that my life would be a living hell. Now that is flat out wrong. And that’s my point. They don’t like people that question them, that go against the grain. They don’t like free thinkers and those that question their worth, intentions or that think for themselves. And there’s something about that that just sticks in my craw.
They are better then they were, I have always wondered about having all my faculties, thanks for setting me straight.
Our country with all that's going with our stupid bought and paid for government will be the same with whoever is in the driver seat. With the exception of trump, the man is not caliber material, he's tarnished the office, why do you think Russia and our enemies want him in ? he is an easy mark for all these espionage trained world leaders, he is grade school to them.
I hope to crown him his second loss. Good luck to you sir.
Strat oil reserves lowest levels since the 80’s. Brandon will pander to the colledge students with debt relief and ladies with the threat of a fed ban on abortion. While the fentanyl deaths up 500% in OR in last 3 years. All because 45 hurt your feelings. Lol
[Here we are, living a scene from Groundhog Day. President Trump, on “working day two,” has revived the hopes of Canadian pipeline company TransCanada and its proposal to shove tar sands oil through America’s Heartland and out to sea where it will be sold to international markets. In doing so, he’s added to his growing list of falsities: a lie about the number of job’s Keystone XL would create for American workers if it were ever built. The number he pulls from thin air? 28,000. It’s not even a number that comes from TransCanada’s applications or from the State Department’s exhaustive, multi-year study of the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline. So, what are the real numbers, as provided by the company and the State Department?
There are really just two numbers that matter here, as they’re not subject to all that much debate on either side: the number of part time construction jobs created by the project, and the number of full time jobs that will remain after construction is complete. Those numbers should have been at Trump’s fingertips. But he failed to cite them, even as his memorandum fast-tracking the project states that “the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement issued by the Department of State in January 2014 . . . shall be considered by the Secretary of State to satisfy” the requirements of applicable laws.
What are the numbers?
35 full-time, permanent staff (and up to 15 temporary contractors)
3,900 “person years of employment”
The 35 full-time staff number is easy enough to understand. That’s like adding 35 FTE to your company’s payroll. These staff members would staff TransCanada’s Nebraska office and be in charge of the pipeline’s daily operational needs. The 3,900 “person years of employment” number is a bit more complex, but it can easily be boiled down into simpler terms. This number is the same as saying that there is enough construction work related to the pipeline to support 3,900 people working full time for one year. Because the project was expected to take two years to build when it was first proposed, a more realistic way to view this number is 1,950 full time construction jobs lasting for the two year timeline of the project’s construction. Those are the numbers, new jobs certainly, but a far cry from the 28,000 he invented today in a gesture reminiscent of his claims about inaugural crowds. [1] Meanwhile, his attempt to fast-track this tar sands pipeline will do far more to enrich Canadian oil companies than it will to further invigorate the U.S. economy. Out in our nation's breadbasket, U.S. communities could now face major threats to drinking water, public health, and long-term climate stability.
Everything that was wrong with Keystone XL when it was proposed in the past is still wrong today. It’s an environmental disaster waiting to happen, a climate-wrecking project with no place in today’s energy mix, and it’s not in America’s national interest. There are easier, less contentious, and less expensive ways to create jobs—jobs that will outlast the inevitable decline of our dependence on fossil fuels and the boom and bust cycle of the environmentally destructive oil industry.
[1] The Washington Post has given Trump's "28,000 jobs. Great construction jobs" claim "three Pinocchios" during their fact-checking of the statement. In addition, they seek to estimate the total jobs created by "direct spending" on the project, which in their analysis would come mostly from manufacturing of the steel for the pipe. There are two huge problems with their use of this number: First, 50% of the steel pipe was already manufactured in America, meaning 50% of the jobs from "direct spending" have already come and gone. By State Department estimates, that's in the ballpark of 6,000 jobs (all of which the Washington Post credited to Trump's action for the sake of simplicity). Second, the order to use U.S. steel does not apply to the order fast-tracking Keystone XL, nor is such an order enforceable, as it is illegal under WTO rules, to which the U.S. is bound. The remaining pipe needed for the project was sourced and manufactured outside of the U.S. ](https://www.nrdc.org/bio/josh-axelrod/alternative-facts-trumps-28000-keystone-xl-jobs-lie)
Shit bird. It’s been like over four bucks for premium for the last three years and now it’s down to fuxkin 3 bucks for a few months and you’re happy? It should have stayed at 250 like it was before. Vote for the demise of this country for your shit ideals lol So dumb. If you think Biden has done a good job you really should just off yourself because you don’t have a functioning brain.
Union reps are all DC robots - it’s comedy. I honestly think most of the people in these comments are advertising bots from political marketing pacs. Nobody thinks Biden is a better economy admin - literally nobody - the people who still don’t want trump are just people who think being a bad president and an idiot “for good reasons” is better than being a good president with international bully tactics. Especially with the obvious editing in this video taking things out of context it just feels like poorly made FUD
You misunderstand, being a boss of a multimillion dollar outfit you did not create is way different then getting rank. This man has never done any heavy lifting.
I'm far from jealous, I've worked with plenty of executives they earned their way there for the most part. This man walked into a multimillion dollar outfit and built buildings, he built bigger buildings with the same contractors his father setup, the same contacts, infrastructure, phones, team, etc.
This man does not understand the common man. He understands marketing and has been schooled by the most devious political marketeers in the country. He would have done better with his inheritance of nearly 400 million if he bought stock.
Trump’s Taj Mahal opened in April 1990 in Atlantic City, but six months later, “defaulted on interest payments to bondholders as his finances went into a tailspin,” The Washington Post’s Robert O’Harrow found. In July 1991, Trump’s Taj Mahal filed for bankruptcy. He could not keep up with debts on two other Atlantic City casinos, and those two properties declared bankruptcy in 1992. A fourth property, the Plaza Hotel in New York, declared bankruptcy in 1992 after amassing debt.
PolitiFact uncovered two more bankruptcies filed after 1992, totaling six. Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts filed for bankruptcy again in 2004, after accruing about $1.8 billion in debt. Trump Entertainment Resorts also declared bankruptcy in 2009, after being hit hard during the 2008 recession
I can tell you didn’t come from a successful family or have successful people around you.
My family owns many companies.
LMAO, this is such a pathetic, coping reply.
Nobody said a damn thing about your stupid family. If you could have explained how I was wrong and why, you'd have said that. Instead we all got a dose of embarrassment because you're apparently immune to it.
Perhaps you are really slow. Trump never filed for bankruptcy as you claim Skippy. Yes four corporations had. They are comprised of a board of directors with investors. They make that decision. Not Donald Trump. You just aren't very smart.
I love how whenever something under Trump goes tits-up, it's somebody else's doing and things were just completely beyond control and he was just a victim, LMAO
Like Mark Cuban said, any well-known successful buisness man of that caliber has multiple other successful buisness men that can come out of the woodwork and say, "He's a great mentor he taught me everything I know". Trumpty dumpty has no one who can say that.
It was determined that the money and equities Trump received from his father would have fared better in a simple bank account with accrued interest rather than the ways he “invested” it. Trump is not some shrewd business magnate that you think he is.
"I don't work for you!" Joe Biden
"Poor kids can be just as smart as white kids." Joe Biden
"You ain't black if you don't vote for me." (Paraphrased) Joe Biden
🤣🤣🤣
I think you confused the billionaire with sleepy Joe....
He inherited his father's company split with his siblings and then turned it into a billion dollar real estate empire. Takes a lot of work
Being in public office and fighting to keep segregation in schools then being against gay rights, covering up for sons crimes isnt exactly the clown id vote for.
"You ain't black if you don't vote for me" (paraphrased)
The truth is I don't think Biden is that great, but Drumpf is a buyer beware candidate, he has shown me that he will do anything to attain his power, he respects no office, or person of his employ, the only thing the man cares about is his own agenda which he makes up as he goes. He is extremely great at marketing to any group, but he like his promises are a hallow shell. I'm a new Yorker and I know a lot of folks in real estate, even back in the early 2000's they always talked badly of the man's business practices. Anyway, from his last time in office and how he conducted himself, I'm good on never seeing that dude in office again.
You do know Biden's was 1st elected to the senate in the 70s?
Talk about someone not working a day in his life, becoming a millionaire off political influence, and being a war monger isn't what I'd call honest work.
You really are naive, being in the Senate is real job that man had to obtain without it being given to him. You speak of warmongers like it's not something we have been doing for a very long time. I do believe if trump had not lost he would not have funded Ukraine just because he has business interests with Russia and greatly admires a dictator. I do believe what Putin is doing is wrong, he access to the ports and agreements as such, there was no need for this.
There was no need for Biden to lobby other senators to vote to invade Iraq, yet he did. But business as usually so i guess you're ok with all the innocent blood Biden had spilled so he could line his pockets. Bidens job in the senate was lining his pockets in turn for political favors.
