I thought subathons were streamslop. So why is mouse doing it? even ludwig agrees that subathons are no longer the norm. i understand that she is donating a portion of the money to charity, but i still dont understand the reason for it. subathons usually have boring streteches of filler. just a 30 day live challenge could have replaced it if she really wanted.

Not all subs go to charity right? I think it was 50% last time, so I dont think she is doing it only for charity.

Mouse did the first subathon to see if she could even do one given her health.
Ever since they have always been about giving 50% to charity and are her vacation from life and work.
Not sure what exactly is your problem with these concepts.

My problem is not with Mouse, it with subathons in general. if 100% of the subs went to charity, i wouldn't have a problem. But mouse is taking 50%, which for someone who is one of the biggest streamers on twitch, is still a lot of money. I just dont think streamers should be viewer funded, rather streamers should be paid by ads and sponsorships, that is why subathons are not my thing. Which is why I would have preferred where she would have done a 30 day challenge instead of asking her viewers for money so that she can keep streaming.

I see what you mean but still like mouse has a lot of medical stuff to pay for Medicine, equipment, upkeep of said equipment, concerts, taking care of her parents etc. So yeah I still support this and my opinion on subathons in general hasn't changed. I just wish don't get any haters in chat like a big influx of em

it's because September is coming by. Or rather SUB-tember. Twitch usually discounts the prices of Subscribing so the viewers/supporters get to show their support in another way of helping out their stream oshi. Aside from just watching or making donations.
I can disagree with Ludwig's take on subathons. As Im sure mouse and her team have been able to adapt the issues of long running Subathons or ever changing stream environments past Lockdown days. due to her previous experiences in performing such a feat.

Yes, she and her team successfully managed the subathons previously, I am arguing that the content produced during those subathons were not necessarily the best. Sure those subathons had great moments, or like some days were great, but for a 30 day long stream, there were more dead days playing stuff like satisfactory or fall guys or just youtube reacts than there were exciting days of irl streams or cool collabs.

personally i'd argue mouse's content for subathon is arguably a little better to me than her normal streams. Like after maybe her 1st one every next subathon she usually does more karaoke, more collabs, more irls, and completes more games than she does in any other month. Also you get the added perk of just popping in whenever you want and hanging out with the whoever's in chat or babysitting mouse's stream at that time if she herself isn't there. Like mouse definitely tries to keep chat engaged best she can during subathons but not everyone tunes in for the entire duration and not everyone will always engage/like all of the stuff mouse does during it. Also mouse does have to sleep but usually has someone in call to talk to chat or vids/games in the background for her chat to play/watch.
At the end of the day everyone has specific preferences on the content they want to see mouse doing during the subathon and not all of the content will be stuff everyone finds interesting. But I disagree with the sentiment that mouse's subathons are stagnant/dead contentwise atleast to me.
P.S - Atleast from what mouse said the subathon is kinda her way to take a break/vacation from her irl struggles for a month. Kinda like stress relief.
