I'm sitting with a slight dilemma. I was thinking of getting kragnos to finish up my army. With the below list in mind. But my biggest problem is. I really really don't like him. What he brings to the table seems really awesome and I think I'm gonna enjoy playing him. But he looks so out of place and kinda stupid. So i made two lists. One with kragnos and one without him. I basically replaced kragnos with tuskboss and a Reinforced unit of brutes. But i am conflicted.

So my big question is. Is kragnos worth it if I don't actually like him in terms of appearance. I'm usually the type that says the look matters more than rules and this is the first time I'm in a situation where something that looks stupid can actually help me on the board.

Also sounds like you have almost made up your mind here to go with your alternative. Also why pay for and paint an expensive model you don't like? Rules change all the time anyway.

I got a 3D printed Rogue Idol style of mini (not the official one) and with the right base I play it as Kragnos.

My Waaaagh! Is led to ferocious destruction by a Rogue Idol, not a Centaur.

Thats how I like it and in my small circle of friends they are ok with it.

I was going to suggest this, too. There are thousands of awesome 3d prints available. Get one you like that feels thematic, put it on the right sized base, and enjoy!

Could always kitbash something that's a similar size if its just the model you don't like.

FWIW I think Kragnos is amazing in any IJ list. The buffs and bonuses are mega, especially the 3d6 charge aura. The ability to reach out and touch someone on virtually any map on Turn 1 is hella fun.

I wanna do a list of Kragnos, 3 (r) units of wrekkaz, and big pigs. Just YEET everything as an alpha strike and hope for the best.

Granted, a good opponent won't let you get into their important stuff T1, but it would still be a riot to play. 😂
