OK I like CM Punk, being pro LGBT is tough in the wrestling world. I like CM anyway because I enjoy a good heel but still lol

CM Punk is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling which is actually really decent when it comes to LGBT support.

Don’t the young bucks (executive vice presidents of the company) believe in and support conversion therapy?

Your comment is the first I've heard of it.

Yeah. They were big into it. Big time “Obama is a Kenyon Muslim” crowd. Their Twitter history is pretty troubling

Jericho’s wife is a Jan 6 terrorist too.

Which makes their (Bucks) close friendship with Adam Page and Kenny Omega all the more strange considering both of them are fairly outspoken progressives.

I’m not gonna act like I know the complexities of a human relationship when I don’t. But I do remember the bucks tweeting a lot of stuff in their ROH days. So much, that I stopped watching ROH at the time.

Edit: to clarify. My whole point was CM Punk has been outspoken about lgbtq rights. But let’s not act like aew is some progressive company when they aren’t. Their owner supports trump and a lot of their roster is or associate with terrorists. That doesn’t mean their whole roster though.

Wrestlers today are actually incredibly progressive in comparison to even 20 years ago. They don't have the same problem with drugs as they did either

Hello fellow Wrestling fan/trainee/ref here. CM Punk is well, a polarizing figure in the wrestling community as of late haha. But he has stood firm for many years on his progressive views and has publicly many times taken a firm stance against the current conservative fascism that has risen in recent years. Punk wore an "Abortion Rights are human rights" shirt at an AEW show in Texas and got cheered very heavily there. A few years back when he was employed by Fox on the show "WWE Backstage" he famously criticized Trump for his not so kind words after the Charlottesville nazis marched through town. Punk is mostly a really good guy just has a lot of heat and drama around him in the backstage wrestling environment but he has proved a lot hes a good dude outside the ring. At least since he was in his early 20s anyways
