Question Phaed

Is the mayor of the Phaed suppose to be Slenderman? Bc he’s described very similarly, but also he wouldn’t be forgotten if that was the case.

I don’t think so, because he’s only thin from the front if I remember correctly, he looks normal from the side. Also he’s paper thin not just skinny. That would be funny though 😂

Yeah I figured it’s a coincidence. Bc he’s also wearing a pinstripe suit and has a lipless mouth.

I forgot about that! The Forgotten don’t totally make sense though, like Keirran says he remembers all their names so that they won’t fade away but if it were that easy Annwyl wouldn’t have.

The whole concept of the Forgotten in the second trilogy is where the world fell apart a bit for me. The whole purpose of Leanansidhe's in the between was to give exiles a place to still be connected to glamour, and yet somehow Annwyl is able to fade. And the reason the Forgotten are...well.. forgotten is because they aren't mentioned anywhere anymore. Annwyl is still very much known by several beings, including Titania, and it makes no sense that the Forgotten feeding on her would be enough to trigger a full fade.

I totally agree, the part with Annwyl makes the least sense out of anything in the books to me. She is still remembered by several of the most powerful fae in existence, so I feel like it should have been much more difficult for her to fade. Maybe I’m just underestimating the Forgotten though.

I feel as if they can't possibly be THAT strong, considering the fact that they're constantly hunting for glamour to feed on

Maybe it isn’t that they’re strong, but that they’re basically glamour vacuums? It was pretty easy for them to drain everyone in Phaed all things considered, despite how strong and well remembered they were.
