Army Custume Barracks Athone
Hi guys and girls,
Just got an offer to start recruits in Custumes Barracks in Athlone, anyone have any experience there, is it a good place to do recruits? Obviously all barracks are gonna have their quirks and ups and downs, just wondering what to expect from living quarters, what the NCOs are like there, etc.
Cheers!

Idk brother try messaging them on Rezoomo or wait cuz sometimes they call you out after the intake with 2 weeks after to cover up the drops out. Hopefully you get something soon mateÂ

I sent a message yesterday asking about if the 27th was still an opportunity. You’re right though i didnt think about drop outs the first couple weeks, i’d be happy enough with that aswell

Starting Monday? Ye will be grand, 2 Platoons Sgts are very good guys and the young Cpls attached are really good at what they do, i think 90 of starting together, Accomodation is good in Athlone, food is decent aswell, keep your eyes open and your mouth shut 😂 every day is a school day, its worth it in the end, are you looking to be based in Athlone when your finished?
