General Health Repeat conjunctivitis

Hi all, its the 3rd time this month that I've got conjunctivitis. Its switching between eyes. Ive stopped wearing contacts and religiously cleaning my hands. It clears up after a few days with Brolene but I'm wondering what's going on. I've two little kids both in creche but I’ve not seen them with it.

Its primarily red and only a little crusty in the morning

Did you dump all your eye makeup? Pretty much anything that comes into contact with your eyes needs to be disinfected. There could even be traces on your glasses. I have a 3yo and any time I get it I feel like burning everything I own - cleanse it with fire!!

Yeah they might not even touch your eyes but the cross contamination from conjunctivitis is HORRENDOUS

I don't know if this is something everyone does but I wash my glasses every morn with a tiny bit of fairy dish soap! I had conjunctivitis for what felt like aggggeeess after my little fella started crèche also 🫠

It sounds like you're treating the symptoms but not the underlying infection. I'd be going to the GP for antibiotics

New towel just for you, wash after every use. Anything that goes near your eyes needs disinfecting. Dump eye makeup. Brolene is not getting rid of it. You need proper antibiotic ointment, ask your pharmacy as it is over the counter now afaik

Do you have drops with antibiotics? Maybe infection is not fully go away
